I kind of hope there's a lockout just so I don't have to see the Panthers and Vegas in the finals every year until hockey dies

League needs to do something about this NMC clauses its absolutely killing some teams in this league.

This is the issue with Edmonton - really enticing options like taking Nurse's money but they have nothing Boston wants or needs really (not including Drai and McDavid)

Savoie or Howard. Maybe you give them a little more then. in the process because you’re still upgrading youth and they wont give up a kid just to move Nurse, which is interesting because I would lose Lohrei just to move Lindholm

TO Boston: Nurse $6,900,000 (25% retained)

TO Edmonton: Elias Lindholm

Then, you pivot and resign Zacha as your 3rd line C.

I couldn’t.

Lindholm doesn’t fit on the Oilers. They aren’t retaining salary AND taking on $7.5M/yr for the duration of Nurse’s deal (plus another season). And Lindholm would have to waive to go play under (probably) Mike Babcock. In Edmonton.

That’s a non-starter. I am open to Nurse (even if it isn’t exciting to me)… but this one doesn’t work at all.
