Sorry if it’s already been mentioned.

But Florida is now another strong contending team that is in a bit of cap hell. Not a lot of cap space left and still need to fill quite a few roster spots- goalie being the big one.

Lundell and Rodriguez are names I assume will be moved. I would say Verhaghue would probably be an option but they just gave him a NMC.

Bruins could get 4 1sts in a Pastrnak trade if Tkachuk just set the market

You must not understand how much better Pasta is than Tkachuk if you think he would only get 4 firsts in comparison

Brings us back to depressed assets and salary eating imo. Take on a bad contract for a couple years. Help Dallas by taking Lyubushkin or NJ by taking the Dman they want the least - work those deals to get more assets. Amass the warchest of picks and buy low candidates like Zegras last yr
Yea, I’d hate to cough up so much have Zegras (Poehling, 2nd, 4th) or PLD (Kuemper) on my team right now. How awful would that have been….
It seems like change of scenery works…Wright, McTavish, Pettersson.

Can’t help but wonder if Coyle and Ullmark could have been those pieces instead of Poehling and Kuemper in trade talks back in the day.

Seems like a lot of folks are on board with Nurse, but I’m curious what we get for babysitting him the next few years?

Zegras was stolen by Briere highway robbery .

This is the issue with Edmonton - really enticing options like taking Nurse's money but they have nothing Boston wants or needs really (not including Drai and McDavid)

Zito has 7 first liners via trade and we have none

It’s just gross to see the rosters that talented GMs can actually assemble vs what we put together and have to pretend is pretty good
That's not even close to accurate

E.Lindholm
C.Middlestat
P.Zacha
L.Riechel
H.Lindholm
N.Zadorov
H.Jokiharju

All 1st rounders the Bruins have traded for.

I think it's interesting to see non-establishment guys like Zito and Tulsky having a lot of success. Folks who aren't caught up in traditional ways of doing things and are more willing to think outside the box and follow their own paths - whether that's aggressively building around a particular team plan/identity in one case, or going hard on the analytics and translating statistical dominance into on-ice success in the other.

That's not to say that more old-school hockey guys can't still have success - McCrimmon for example has been around hockey his whole life - but it does suggest that bringing in fresh voices and different perspectives can be effective.

You look at Bruins management and it feels too dyed-in-the-wool and staid - an old boys' club indeed. Been said many times before but it feels more pressing than ever that they need some fresh blood and ideas in there. Of course you hire a Chara if he's interested. But you need something different as well.

Said it already here but it bears repeating - the Panthers won't trade Lundell. They view him as Barkov's successor, and that might well prove accurate.
