Risto? I thought we needed fast, young, mobile puck-movers on D??
Risto doesn't take as many penalties as you'd think he does, and he's put up pretty good defensive results the past few seasons. Biggest issue with him is availability, people here love to talk about Hampus like he's made of glass but he's played like 20 more games then Risto has over the past three seasons, and that's with him only playing 17 games before his knee injury 2 seasons ago.You imagine him and Zadarov on their back end. Intimidating no doubt, but dam the penalty minutes these two would rack up, would be insane by today’s NHL standards.
Risto has averaged less than 50 games a year over the last 3 seasons and isn't getting younger - no thanks.Agreed.
^There lies the problemThat would be a nice thing to happen, where are you getting the #1 center?
Easier said than done.^There lies the problem
It’s easy to point out problems. Solving them on the other hand….Easier said than done.
Wouldn't tuch him at the money he'll get. Came up with zeroes against MTL through six games - finished like -8Yes Tuch please.
Rather sign TroubaWe are back to Ristolainnen again???
Dear Lord, no. His hockey IQ is looooowwww.
He will make Peeke look like a first rounder again.
We are going to have a brute squad on Defense who never play because they are always in the box.

I sure hope so.I think the Risto rumors is old news rehashed from the deadline when they first popped up.
beat me to it, I`m not a massive fan of Trouba but definitely a guy with bite who can put a few pts on the board too but he`s what? 32/33? no long term deal plsRather sign Trouba
Would be all for McTavish if their team thinks his development problems are fixable.
I'd be so stokedMoving in McTavish and moving out Lindholm would be what I would want.
We don’t need a guy with “bite” that’s old and overpaid. We need someone who can f***ing break the puck out of the zone and create any modicum of offense.beat me to it, I`m not a massive fan of Trouba but definitely a guy with bite who can put a few pts on the board too but he`s what? 32/33? no long term deal pls
What #1 center are they getting for zacha? If they trade a #2 center and get a #1 center that’s amazing. Not sure why upgrading from a player would be SMH.
Is upgrading bad?
The fact that they're interested in Risto makes me think Trouba is also a very real possibility.Rather sign Trouba

We are all focused on puck movers like Raddysh, Andersson and Carlson, but maybe Sweeney is more interested in trying to recreate the Lindholm-Carlo pair. They were very effective when Carlo was good. I haven't seen enough of Trouba these last 2 years but Risto was very good last season.
Those two are not "speed and skill" but maybe that comment was directed at the forward group and what they're trying to do up front.
They have dman with skill if healthy and Zadorov has some good jets for a big guy but I dont think id classify Mac and Hampus as fast ever and to me they need a guy with wheels that can handle the puck back there so bad.The fact that they're interested in Risto makes me think Trouba is also a very real possibility.

It's not a fact that they're interested in Ristolainen. Not yet, anyway. The fact that they're interested in Risto makes me think Trouba is also a very real possibility.

What are these excerpts you're posting? Seems like a fair evaluation, just wondering where they're from.
I think they were rumored to kick the tires on Risto at the deadline as well, but Philly wanted a 1st.It's not a fact that they're interested in Ristolainen. Not yet, anyway.
What we do know is that they tried to acquire Andersson, who is a puck-moving defenseman.
I wouldn't be surprised if Boston checked in on Ristolainen. Teams make those kinds of calls all the time.I think they were rumored to kick the tires on Risto at the deadline as well, but Philly wanted a 1st.
