Grier is about to use a late rounder on this 7’-1” beauty.

Just make at least one of them stand next to Asky in goal and block shots, who could possibly score.

We struggle on defense… you pick up the best defensemen in the draft .. Reid. This isn’t difficult
Or you pick the BPA. Even Grier said that himself. If they think Reid is BPA then they should pick him. If he’s not then you don’t reach at 2OA cuz you need defense. You always take BPA, it’s not that difficult

This is just so obviously the correct way to approach team buliding yet we have fans here who both advocate that we reach for positional need AND refuse to consider moving surplus forwards for defensemen of similar value.

You're competing against 31 other teams to win the Cup. When you leave value on the table you're not only hurting yourself but helping your enemies.

This is risible considering how hard you argued against taking the BPA last year.

I dont know if this guy is legit... but its fun week of the draft unfounded internet rumor stuff.

Even if he is legit how would Eklund know who the Sharks are going to pick? Technically it's not even 100% certain McKenna goes 1OA.

That said it's been obvious since the day we won the lottery that we're picking Stenberg unless we trade down, which never happens.

If Samoskevich manages to return 25OA plus a 2nd as a 30-point winger, surely Eklund can return a first round pick in the early teens? I'm not saying we should trade him but we should be able to fetch something good if we do so.
