Ill try to explain this without sounding confusing lol - was there this much ‘smoke’ around McTavish like when Zegras was floated out there?

McTavish is already one foot out the door it seems

I’d say it was not only more with Zegras but more detailed and internally pushed. With McTavish a lot of it seems to be connecting his healthy scratches and a rabid need for centers, with Zegras it came off more about clashes with the player. McT doesn’t really seem to fit the Verbeek mold either but most of the chatter has talked about other teams seeing if they can get him vs the other way around.

The worry would never be losing Leo. The worry would be a team with tons of cap space and the picks to spend giving him 15 AAV or more because PV decides to play hardball.

I was making fun of the guy saying the Blues had a history of doing offer sheets. Yes, they did, but it cost them a 2nd and a 3rd for two players. Leo is not the same class of offer sheets
