I’d bet a fair amount of money that one of Paryako, Risto , or Carlo ends up on ducks next year.

Ideally we add an offensive type in addition like Hamilton , Nemec

I see a world where we just end up w one of the big defensive guys listed and run Luneau , Helleson, and one of big three. Then expend rest of assets on Larkin.

Ideally we add another , though.

Wouldn’t be shocked if we attempt to sign Rasmus Anderson or Raddysh, also
Dont be surprisd of Gudas signs a 1 Year deal to stay,..

There are a couple names on this list I might be interested in. Bjorkstrand would be a nice buy-low candidate, especially with Terry out for awhile. I've never been a big fan of Desharnais, but I suppose he could play PK and on a 3rd pair next to Zellweger.

Obviously I think the goal is to slide McQueen in the 2C spot when ready but Is there anything stopping Cutter from being the 2C?... He's spot filled at times. Played a mix of LW and C throughout his career. Oddly enough he seemed to thrive when he played his off wing RW this year... Dude is just a gamer.
This.
Cutter is much better at faceoffs than Carlsson. Cutter needs someone who can do the play driving on his line....so Sennecke or Granlund on his line.

A healthy Carlsson almost replaces Mac's production by himself. Losing Terry until Christmas is another matter.. We have some serious young studs though, I have high hopes for Carlsson/Sennecke/GOATier taking even more steps next year. We need someone to take a Lacombe'ian step on D though.

With that new incoming contract, he will have to play goalie if we ask him :sarcasm:

The panic level around here for it being mid June is something else.

Verbeek knows what he’s doing. But I think the Terry news pretty much guarantees McT isn’t being traded for a defenseman and if he is, one of the big time prospects is going to bring in an impact forward - or vice versa
Its not panic its reality:
- Terry out until December
- Carlson gone
- Trouba testing FA
- No extensions yet for Leo / Cutter
- McT on trade block

That's a LOT up in the air for a team that has to build on success of last season. Also, draft is next week, FA shortly after that and its a short summer. Lots of business to tend to.

The Ducks may decide to continue Solberg's development at the NHL level next season. It sounds like they think this will be more productive and also introduce him to Quenneville's system early. If it happens, I don't know if he'll stay with the Ducks from the start or called up later. I think they see him in a 3LD role, he's going to play.

Personally I think it would be a good decision, as Solberg has shown he can handle heavy minutes against NHL players, then there's no need to keep him in the minors. And there will be no better coach than Quenneville to teach him how to play a physical game without taking it too far. I'm sure Solberg has a ton of respect for him.

Not shocking to me tbh…. I think he’s one of those guys that will learn more/faster in the NHL level.

Patience, let’s see what the team looks like after draft/free agency

This is where I’m at also. Especially since you’ve stated that the beeker has told him that they see him as a key piece on this team moving forward. I can see him being our bottom pair lhd this season. And eventually our 2nd pair lhd behind Lacombe. People who love minty will hate me saying that. But if somehow we’re trying to trade for both parayko and larkin. Unless we can sell zellwegger. Something has to give. And that might be minty . Who knows.

No clue how PV manages the McTavish trade....

we prob need to get a top 6 player or a top4 RHD in the deal, i dont mind adding to mctavish to accomplish this.

A futures package only makes sense if were flipping the pieces for a RHD and 1 of the pieces is a young player that could play next year.
