Yaeger hasn't looked great so far. Definitely downgrading expectations for him
Not fond of the role they have him playing. He’d be better utilized in the top 6.

Dave Cameron doesn’t invoke much confidence from me with his game style and in game decisions.

I think Canada's reign as a dominant hockey country is officially over.

This is what happens when middle class Canadian families can barely afford food...

Nevermind the cost of having kids or enrolling their kids in hockey.

Thanks Govt...
It costs $1100 for my 6 year old to play timbits this year. I have no idea where that money is going. All team employees are volunteers. We buy all our own equipment. There's 1 arena attendant that floods the ice. Otherwise, does hockey canada just pocket half of it? It's really sad that the vast majority of Canadians can't afford to play a sport.

Hockey is soooo expensive.... I know for our team lots of the cost is ice time... At $265 per hour being on the ice for 5.5 hours a week between practices and games adds up from October to the end of March.... That's over 2k per player just in ice time. No refs uniform tournaments equipment.
When I was a kid our games were indoor but 75% of our practices were outside. That would not fly with parents today lol

I guess the question becomes why an hour of icetime is $250-$300? Something something water, something something propane cylinder?

Yager impresses me with his calm and defensive play. I also felt like he was one of thr only forwards I notice going to the front of the net to screen and not just tip.

The last two games I saw he seems to be one of the slower players. Although, the team as a whole seems to not be able to maintain their speed through the neutral zone or create it at will in the positions end (which I expect against teams like Latvia and Germany). Doesn't feel good going up against the USA after watching their game against Finland.

He's playing with the worst player on the team in Howe and an underaged question mark in Martone. I'm not worried.

More and more Canadian kids are playing soccer the most popular sport in the world and basketball the second most popular sport in the world. Canada will still have great teams internationally but we wont dominate any more
Aren’t they still dominating? Not to same degree, but, more than half the best young players in nhl are Canadian. Celebrity, stankoven. Bédard.
Would team be the best in tournament if Celebrini was still playing?
