They’ve been hyping up this point streak he apparently has in the OHL. But his numbers are honestly not that impressive. Certainly nothing that screams superstar. And he turns the puck over way too much to be a defensively responsible middle sixer.
He's a Leafs draft pick so the Canadian media is bowing to his magnificence.

Bolland's hands weren't anything special either. He relied on his hockey sense, bite and tenacity to be effective.

His hands are better than Moore's hands which was my point. I've seen enough fumbled pucks from Moore receiving passes or stick handling the past 2 years to see that.

Guys bust at the 10ish pick range all the time. Going back to an earlier post of yours, I don’t see why it makes it a bad pick or reach.

Trust our scouting department until that give us reason to doubt them.
Sure. I never said it was a bad pick. But they were trying to trade up for him at 10. You don’t do that for a guy you think is a 3C. Pick 10 would have been a bad pick for Moore in my opinion.

Our scouting department is jury out.

This Czechia team is very good. Sure they're beating up on a very less talented Kazakhstan team, but that team is legit.

Felcman has an assist in the game.

Would you be happy paying JT Compher $28M over 5 years? Which 3C UFA contract would you be happy with from last year.

Roughly 1/3 of late 1st rounders bust, and a bunch of others just hang on and don't really contribute. Getting a top9 F or top4D is a huge win IMO.

That’s a bit of an extreme case of a bad contract. Not many teams pay that for a 3C. If you are in the be 3-4M range I think that’s fine. Maybe more AAV with less term like Dickinson.

IMO, Dickenson was a dumpster dive reclamation project. Obviously not a bad player who was awesome last year, but most years not a 3C on a legitimate contender.

I 100% believe the Hawks thought that Moore had 2C potential. Who knows, he still might. IMO, if he tops out as a good #3C, I still consider that a win.

Two words: David Carle

As an example of this: Cole Caufield was absolutely crucified for his performances at his two tournaments. Look at him now
Their roster construction is also really good. Probably helps that most of these kids have played in the USNTDP for years.

These shot totals are totally flattering for Latvia. This really hasn't been a close game.

Filthy backhand by Nelson.

Cole Hutson is literally a clone of his brother. Utter control over the flow of the game offensively. Shouldve just drafted him with a second, he can fill the role that we're hoping KK fills

Is he a nightmare or just in a lack of care defensively like his brother? Because that's the makeup you can't live with in a top 4 dman if you want to be a contender.

Canada list to Latvia because the Latvia goalie stopped 55 shots .maybe the game of his life.. He alsobwas perfect in the shoot-out

.Canada lost t its best player early in the first few minutes of tte game..that was Dman Mathew Schaefer..He is now injured with a broken colkar-bone so out for the rest if the tournament...After he hit hurt very earlybi the game Canada never looked as good as whenSchaefer controlled games for them.. Tge Po was "off" ..the carry puck into o-zobe rushes wre off.. they still gotv5y shots on goal but it was hard to get clear open shots through the collapsing clog Latvia put up and alk the shot blocks they made and when shots did go in goal Felbegvs their goalie saved Latvia tonecand again.

You knew he could not be as good a walk vs U.S.A I the back to back gamevin just 17 hours rest You knew Latvia could not muster the same level of determination vs ISA beibg both tired and coming off tgevhightheir upset ofvthe century game..
Si U S A gedtibg a break nitvpkayong Latvia even at their best.
Festive this advantage. Again Oliver Moore pointless..

There is just no offebse frontjuscguy desoitectgecwheeks.
There are a million fat 3rdxand 4th liners.. he is nothing special and the hyoecHawks had with thirxecstasyvto draft homafter he "felk" to them maybe was totally mistaken as tge teams that passed on hom must have been correct all along.
She's without doing much in production is not goibg to be tgat useful
. VICTOR stalkers had speed nut not much else.

But you cannot fail on every draft pick..looks lijecwevhot Jackpot with Kamtserob..with another goal today for Metallurg ..

Is his hockey sense as bad as AA?
Depends on what you mean by hockey sense. AA is just straight up dumb. Moore is so much more complete and has a very advanced 200 foot game. Where he falters is finding ways to utilize his toolkit offensively
