Transfer: 2025 Winter Transfer Window - Rumors and Discussion

I’m not considering PSR. Even still, I’d probably take a punt on Gyokeres first.

Side note, one of the GMs in my fantasy keeper league paid the equivalent of 65 million for him only a year and a half ago. f***ing Saudi has hit all of our teams, but at least I think my 9s are all safe.

Gyokeres looks legit and I wouldn't argue if you rate him more atm, but he is older than Boniface or Sesko, so is there as much room for further growth, how many years of this level will you get, and what kind of re-sale value will he have if a few years down the line he wants to move again / it doesn't work out as well as hoped?

Bayern hasn't handled him all that well. I think the managers want to play him more than they end up doing (all 3 of JN, Tuchel, Kompany). He probably should have been loaned out the past two seasons. Bayern fans really love him, but I don't know he's shown enough in his limited starts for the front office. Agree that a lower tier Bundesliga team or Ligue 1 or Serie A club would be his best move versus PL, where he would just get loaned out before being sold in 2 years.

Tel is yet another victim of Kahn & Brazzo being such punks and not backing Nagelsmann over the oldies in their lockerroom, the way Barca backed Pep. He's still very exciting but he has never been as exciting as he was under JN.

He & Mouki should both demand loans to 1.FCU :D

Villa aren’t going to lose both their strikers.

Whoever between Boniface and/or Duran goes to Saudi is going to start the dominos.

Villa got all pissy about the timing of West Ham coming back for Duran too, but selling him to Saudi a week later, that's fine... On the one hand I get it, but on the other, bitch please

Whole thing is weird. Duran obviously wants to go somewhere and start, which is fair play to him; but wouldn’t that be Villa if they sell Watkins? Also not really sure what Watkins does for Arsenal either? Ironically if he’d come off the bench that’s a great spot for Duran but he’s not going to start there because he’s not going to do any of the donkey work up there your tactics require. Which is a shame because yall could really use a guy to come off the bench and just do that weird shit that Duran is really good at

Nah, Tel isn't Adeyemi. He has good speed, but it's not what made him exciting.
I dunno. I see Tel I just see a winger/forward tweener who has had two years of development wasted, and doesn't play well in traffic. Maybe its just me, maybe I am wrong, but I think he should stay far away from the PL. Think he should go to Spain

Tel is starting for Bayern today. Effort to convince him to stay?

Spurs loan Yang Min-Hyuk to QPR. Didn't manage to feature for Spurs yet.

They are also linked with a move for Milan's Okafor. Probably just a loan.

Okafor failed a physical earlier this window (I think for Leipzig) - Would stay away from that

I was referring only to Boniface, not Sesko. As for the age argument, assuming Boniface is only 24, there’s not a big difference there. I did think Boniface was a bit older, but might have been thinking of Guirassy. Either way, I would imagine someone looking to buy either of them is looking to have a player for a good five years or so and thus resale value wouldn’t be too much of a consideration. And I think there’s risk there with both of them anyway.

This season is sort of lost for us, but going out and wasting 60 million for Watkins is an ewwwww move. I don't think he's a bad player by any means, but I want somebody more prolific.

It's definitely weird, feels like they knew it would be rejected and just wanted to be seen to be trying. But like, if it went through I wouldn't cry, he can score goals, I'd take him over Sterling, plus it weakens Villa (who of course would be very silly to do it)

100%. It's Vlahovic 2.0, put in a bid just to appease the fans and tell us they "tried" and get the real target in the summer.

Well they can afford more than one option. Watkins is the choice because they must figure he’s actually available right now.

Me, I’d buy Williams and Osimhen in the Summer pending the latter’s fee. I’d want to free up some wage room though.

You choose, what should Arsenal do?

- Trigger Williams release clause (60 million Euros) in summer
- Buy Watkins at 60 million Pounds now
- Buy Boniface at 60 million Euros now
- Buy Osimhen at 80 million Euros in summer
Boniface is gone and not an option.
I'd go Osimhen or Watkins.

The players rumoured to be leaving this summer are Joringho, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Tierney, Tomiyasu, and Partey. Now there are good and bad links, so I doubt all of them will leave, but I do think a majority of them will.

The main link is that we will buy Zubimendi, so that is already a good amount of funds gone. Getting both Osimhen and Nico seems like a pipe dream. Not that Arsenal lacks the funds, but I don't know how bad our FFP is considering that will be close to 200 million for those three players.

I was speaking fictionally, I know Boniface is gone to the SA.

I’m for one curious what Aston Villa are about to do with their Duran money

Supposedly Duran got the move so no Boniface. Boniface, interestingly, has said he doesn’t want to play in England.
