Are the Stars getting a 40 to 50 goals and 100 point Mikko, or they’re getting a 30 goals, 80-90 point Mikko?

80-90 point player is not worth 12 mill. Stars better hope they’re getting that 100 point and at least a 40 goal scorer Mikko

Pretty close to worst case scenario for the Avs. Not going to bother doing the homer thing, this is a huge addition for Dallas. The contract probably won't age well but who cares? Like the Nelson trade, it's all about trying to win right now and this significantly improves Dallas' chances.

Having said that, the playoffs will be insane between these two games. Everything the NHL could've hoped for.

Also, **** this poindexter looking MF'er. Hope Burns gives this little dork a wedgie and stuffs him into Mikko's old stall.

Even CMac would take his lunch money

It sucks that Mikko is also a beast playoff performer, so it's not like we can just default to "well he sucks when it counts!" for some copium 😅

Yes. SIGNIFICANTLY

Necas has been offered around the league for 1.5 year before getting traded to Colorado.

There's no way in HELL any offer they got for him was anywhere NEAR what they just got from Dallas.

They knocked it out of the park with that Rantanen for Necas swap and that's regardless of our love for Necas.
Doesn't change the fact that Necas just is that much better than anything the Canes got out of this. A legit 26 year old 1st line player.

Carolina became sellers after trying to lift the cup in a 13 game span. That's some course correction.

Who cares in the end with Rantanen. We are in for a big fight in the playoffs no matter what happens today. As it will be for 31 other teams.

At the end of the day we needed to move on from him in order to restructure our quality depth. Cmac has accomplished that and now the hard part, getting results when it matters.

Good luck to Rantanen in Dallas, it will be even sweeter if we pull of a series victory against them.

Those picks can be swapped at some point for some improvements, but man you finally had that legit star (when he wants to be) to try and get you over the hump after years of failing, only to trade him for a way lesser talent and magic beans. That team will continue to under perform when it matters, unless they hit some major homeruns.

I maintain Dallas' D is what's going to cost them in the playoffs. Heiskanen is no guarantee to return for the 1st round and even then he will be returning from knee surgery. Their current D:

Harley - Lybushkin
Lindell - Ceci
Bichsel - Dumba

Give. Me. Dallas.

And if Heiskanen does come back, you know exactly which knee to target.
