It may not be tampering at all.
Perhaps Carolina opened up the option for teams willing to make contract offers and Mikko’s group has found out who is making proposals.

No he can’t. He has to be on the team at the trade deadline to sign 8 years.
If he doesn’t get traded, only Carolina can offer 8 years.

Every other team can only offer 7.

I have no f***ing clue what he has in mind. He turned down 8 year deals from 3 contenders including one in the East and one with low taxes.

He's going to get a 7 year deal from someone else this summer but WTF is he doing/expecting?

If anything this should be an indication where his value is around the league. I see why he might as well wait until FA at this point as more options open up, but man, he really thinks he will get better overall situations than those 3 teams have offered? It will be interesting to follow, im just glad its not our problem anymore lol.

Cozens has been on the block for a while...it makes sense to get another young'ish center back.

The thing with Norris is he's always injured which is probably why Ottawa agreed

It feels really nice to be sitting here having taken the biggest center piece off the board while also having now the best center available and getting to watch the Mikko fiasco completely comfortable if we do nothing else, but open to it.

All while Necas looks better than Rants at an all around game and Drury is providing solid depth.

If anything this should be an indication where his value is around the league.
