Screw that attitude, go for it while the core is in their primes. If it works it doesn't, if it doesn't at least you're not wondering if it would have if you'd actually seriously gone for it.

It's also foolish to spend all those assets on a single chance. The guys we got are old and even if they do re-sign will be declining. It's also hard to call it all in when we still have Malinski on the roster. Basically killed next year's TDL with how many assets we lost for older guys.

That's actually a good point. And Kivi ramps it up big time in the playoffs.

It's not ideal but it won't be something that derails a cup run.

One or more of our top 4 D going down or Nuke getting pinched again would definitely be though.
