This Latvia game is officially a big test. I have a feeling they’ll have a hard time carrying momentum into tomorrow after how draining that must’ve been but you knock off Canada and you’re a force

USA fresh against a team that played in the night and threw everything physically and emotionally into it. They *should* have an easier time.

Oh I’m absolutely expecting Latvia to have a very difficult time tomorrow trying to get into that game after a quick turnaround and a very emotional night. They’ve still proven that the blueprint is there and that the US is going to have to work for it though

Yea at the very least should be a reminder to the USA guys that this isn’t a play video games until 2 am. Roll out of bed at 11 am and win by 10 goals without playing your best kinda day.

The warning signs were there with Canada when the shots were close against Finland. Finland is not Finland right now. Don't have the players.

Yeah, Canada got goalied, but this Canada team might be worse than last year.

If we lose to them, we really need to start asking questions.
I know everyone can’t make it but they left off some real talented players. I can’t for the life of me understand how Beckett Sennecke was left off? Big strong two way player who can skate and scored goals. Makes no sense.

Huge win for Latvia but it doesn’t change much in my mind. Lose on NYE and the tourney is right back to “chalk”

Michael Misa was another huge omission (not even a camp invite). Leading the CHL in goals at a goal per game pace, one of the top faceoff guys in the OHL, plays with a ton of pace and urgency. I get wanting to have some lunch pail type guys but they seem to be failing to identify who their top players even are.

Comfortable. Didn’t run away like I thought they might but that’s more a testament to Latvia than anything. Hell of an effort from them again on a quick turnaround

Pretty easy win without having to rely on the first line, who were “rested” a bit today and only played 15 minutes. Seemed like that line dominated in the ozone every time they were on. Saving them for Finland tomorrow.
