Transcript from presser Blake just sang a song to a boss’s nova beat on a Casio keyboard.

I was lonelier than Elon Musk at a Lizzo concert
That night I strolled on into Mayors Manor lookin' for love.
It had been a while.
In fact, three hundred and sixty-five had come and went
since that midnight trade for PLD while driving on I-10.
I had picked up this Russian that was sweatin' gallons
through a pair of Daisy Duke cut-offs and one of those Fruit Of The Loom tank-tops playing for Torts.
Well, that night I lost myself to ruby red lips,
milky white skin and baby blue eyes.
Name was Kuzmenko.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the Mayor is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when Bernstein is cryin.
Well I find it's quite a thrill
When they grind me against their will
Yes a lap dance is so much better when the podcaster is cryin’

Did Blake comment on how many phone calls he received for Lewis?I would imagine every Stanley Cup bound team was trying to get their hands on him. That guy single-handedly let us run only 11 forwards.

What in the Bloodhound Gang?!

They're right though. LA isn't safe or family friendly. That's why you live outside LA and visit it. The most I've heard, and it's a problem for a lot of western teams, is players don't really want to be too far from home.
My rental car got stolen 2 weeks ago in the driveway right in front of my deceased mother-in-law's house in a middle-to-upper middle class subdivision in the hills in Monterey Park. Couldn't get a replacement until the car was either found or the original reservation expired at the end of the week...was told to go to a competitor in the meantime. Was told this was only in CA because people from out of state were renting cars, saying they were stolen and keeping both the original car and the replacement. Pathetic...I live outside Chicago and it's nowhere near this bad.

Has to affect the perceived quality of life for potential new Kings to the area.

I mean that sucks but it’s not like Monterey Park isn’t a Stones throw away from East LA. And any new kings we all know are gonna live in Manhattan or Hermosa Beach which is a short drive to El Segundo for practices and flights. The Kings players in and of themselves drive past all the crime areas on the way to their games and that’s it. We all know LA has never been a preferred destination for anyone other than looking for that relaxed beach life.

Kuzmenko - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Laferriere
Moore - Danault - Foegele
Jeannot - Turcotte - Lewis
Thomas

Anderson - Doughty
Gavrikov - Spence
Edmundson - Clarke
Moverare

Kuemper
Rittich

Almost certainly not enough to do any real damage in the playoffs especially with how much other teams in the west have loaded up at the deadline. If Kuzmenko fits in perfectly and sparks the powerplay and if Hiller actually spreads out the ice time amongst the D pairs (minimum 14 mins for Clarke, maximum 22 mins for Doughty), this team might have a chance to pull off an upset in rounds 1 or 2 of the playoffs but I'm not holding my breath. Also heavily depends on how Byfield plays down the stretch.

The good news: we didn't make any stupid moves that jeopardize the team's future.

Kuzmenko should be a decent improvement over Laf on PP1. Turcotte should be much more effective than Lewis as the team's 4C - We saw him thrive earlier this year when he was driving his own lines. He might need that responsibility to be most effective - doesn't seem like it works too effectively having him as a passenger with Kopi and Kempe. Deploying the defense correctly would help a ton. Kuemper needs to stay hot.

Apparently Kuzy is a super positive guy who brings great vibes to the locker room - I'm sure he's excited to go from Philly to LA and have a chance to play some meaningful/playoff hockey.

All in all, still disappointing but could've been a LOT worse. Hopefully we can ruin Vegas or Edmonton's seasons by upsetting one of them in the first round. Then make more major changes in the offseason (starting with the front office).
