I was looking at other platforms besides here today and seems like all fans are just about sick of it.
I have no issue with the trade today. But if youre the gm and you dont believe they are a contender to go all in for then what the heck are you doing? Blake has put this team in a bad way and he should be let go. Instead hell get a kickback from Brisson to max out Gavrikovs contract. They are editing the propaganda media availability interview as we speak so that will be really exciting to see right? We havent heard from him since they said well all be invited to the Christmas party.

Solid deadline. Sucks we lost another pick. Can always trade down. Got the best forward available for a 3rd!!!! Biggest part is no extra cap added after this season.

Team has some big needs to start filling this off-season. Now will any of it actually happen? Who knows.

Will Hiller grow a pair & ice Clarke & Spence in the same lineup?

Edit: Philly is a terrible organization. Everyone wanted to see Playoff Risto this year. Ridiculous ask.

Great. It's unfortunate it took years and an enormous amount of wasted assets and traded young players to get here but here we are. Before the draft, it would probably be a good time to get a front office who can oversee a post-Kopitar/Doughty rebuild, that's actually going to be focused on growing homegrown talent instead of trading them for veteran support. But I'm still not sure they won't try to fast-track it around Byfield this time.

What I find hilarious was Jesse was just on here the other day claiming it was just us cranky old fans that are unhappy with Blake and the path of the team:

Go check out reddit and discord.

Tons of new fans entering the fanbase that aren't interested in nuanced evaluation or critique of the organization. They want to have fun. They want to root for the team and they find all of this tedious and annoying.

which one?
HF's?

It's pretty much there for when HF crashes
The official Kings discord server.

I grant you discord is a chaotic mess and I barely understand it but what I have observed in my time on the server (evidently I am the liason?) is that they are relentlessly positive. They are PROUD of how positive they are and they will aggressively moderate and curate the server to make it uncomfortable for fans who chose to be relentlessly negative.

It is by design a place for people to be positive.

EDIT: And when I say by design... NOT by design of the LA Kings its by the design of the self selecting moderators and users and I've had conversations with fans in person who were made to feel uncomfortable and ultimately left the server because of the relentless positivity.

I was totally expecting Clarke to get traded, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to see him get claimed off waivers next year, though.

I logged in this morning and, after a painfully long wait for the site to load, the first thing I see on the Kings forum is a confirmed trade header, but not the specifics. My heart skipped a few beats until I saw the transaction. Glad Blake gave up hardly anything this deadline.

Interesting how they are spinning the move to Brisson.. Someone needs to fly a drone nexttime Luc hangs out on Brisson's yacht check for a manilla envelope exchange

I'd love to hear how zero playoff series wins since 2014 is a positive.
Kings Cucks!

Man the networking and email list just be worth a fortune. How can I get in on the distribution to sell an overpriced, inferior product to a bunch of simps and not have to answer to complaints. Sounds like the perfect business model for the douchebag LA lifestyle.

Guess which team has the worst playoff winning percentage in the NHL since 2014-15.

It starts with a K and ends in INGS.

The Sabres didn't qualify for that stat since they haven't made any playoff appearances since 2011, but the Kings have a .259 winning percentage with a 7-20 record ever since they last won a series.

Dead last in the NHL.
Oh...it's been very bleak. The rewards for the tank have been wasted to arrive at being a black hole team, one that isn't very exciting to watch.

Honestly, the trade deadline could not have gone any better. Got a player that might help a little, but probably won't do anything on contender status, but few think we are an actual contender regardless, and only gave up a 3rd round pick.

I am not surprised about Blake, but there have been rumblings and talk that he is leaving this summer no matter what. It is likely he will be made to walk of course if we are bounced in the 1st round or don't make the playoffs, but also there has been mention that even if the option to stay is there Blake is intending to walk away from the job regardless.

The good news is that Kuzmenko seems to light it up when he joins a new team.

First year in Vancouver: 39G, 32A, 74 points (81 games played)

When he arrived in Calgary: 14G, 11A, 25 points (29 games played)

In Philly: 2G, 3A, 5 points (small sample size - just 7 games played)

While he's had an up/down career - He's currently sitting at 140 points in 197 career NHL games. That's good for a 28 goal and 58 point pace per 82 games played. Not too shabby at all. Especially for a 3rd round pick 2 years from now.

If he fits, that's awesome - you just added a 25 goal, ~60 point winger for a mid round pick and can then look at what it might cost to keep him around. If he doesn't fit, no harm, no foul - Kings likely didn't have the firepower for a deep cup run anyways.

Add Bennett & Marner over the summer & we're right back in the hunt!

The PL Trainwreck on top of a decade of failure & coaches that bench guys for not playing "King's Hockey", which is flaming out faster in the first round than the previous year is why people are upset with Blake. It's his incompetence as a GM that's too blame. Congratulations! You qualified for the playoffs in a poor division while spending to the cap & blowing through assets.

Promote Blake to a ceremonial position in the organization & bring in a GM that has a track record of being able to identify talent in hockey players.

The good news about replacing a GM that's in the bottom 3rd of the league is that it's hard to do worse.
