Nice game from the first line but the first pp is not great
Also, we have to stop those moment where we suddenly make a lot of dumb play and look lost, USA will make us pay for it

Can't really complain about this result, Denmark are no joke and winning by 3 goals is never a given. They should have scored more to put the game away, but it could have been much closer as well when you look at Siegenthaler's save.
There are still too many mistakes, it's now 12 games in a row allowing at least 2 goals and this can't go on. The next two games will decide if they can avoid Sweden and Canada, and against the US and Germany you just have to be focused or you will be punished. Meier is so frustrating, hopefully his offensive production keeps cancelling his lack of involvement in the play. Hofmann has to play way better, and some defenders have to be more careful with the puck.
And more importantly, this Fiala situation must end. I'd be happy to have the Kings dissolved if this can help, there no need for an organisation that apparently doesn't employ anyone who knows how to write their name at the bottom of a form.

I hope we will get some positive news regarding Fiala today. Le Matin is still writing that it has been assured to them that Fiala will come and also Weibel told in a SRF interview on Friday that they are cautiously optimistic about him.
Yeah but they don't need him at some point, they need him for the next game. Lose that one and you're facing an impossible quarterfinal.
It's hard enough with all the injured players, compared to last year the team missed the two PP defensemen and 6 forwards.

Somebody in here and some people on X wrote that Fiala is missing two games. So maybe they expect him in Denmark today or tomorrow. But to be honest, I dont know if that is true…

sorry if you consider any qf as impossible we should withdraw the team and leave. the goal is to win it all, to do so you have to beat anybody. it's this loser mindset to focus on avoiding an opponent to progress which makes success impossible. do you really think canada or sweden would mind who they meet in qf? of course not because they believe in their strenght to beat anybody. f**k this swiss understatement and try to implement a winning spirit

I would leave Moy in the 1st and put Fiala on the 2nd instead of Riat. And Riat should go to the 3rd for Hofmann
You have to be realistic, last year's team had a chance to win it all but without Fiala, Josi and Niederreiter they wouldn't have been anywhere close, and that's not considering the role played by players like Thürkauf, Scherwey, Simion or Haas, neither the fact that no team was as loaded as Canada and Sweden are this year. Winning a quarterfinal would already be a good achievement this year. Obviously overachieving 2013 style is always possible, but not something to be expected.
Plus I have tickets for the semifinals so maybe deep inside I'm actually trying a reverse jinx
Fiala and Hischier work well together, I don't think it's a good idea to split them. Plus a player of Fiala's caliber is maybe what's needed to get Meier more involved. Andrighetto and Malgin work better with someone who can put pressure on the net and Riat is doing well in that role so far. I'd have Moy with Bertschy and Jäger.
Let's wait for official confirmation, but yeah, I'm also in the put Moy beside Bertschy and Jäger group.

I don't agree, I think Moy deserves to be on one of the top 2 line

I would think that Moser is going to get PP time instead of Glauser now that he had time to practice. Then Fiala, Malgin and Moy are all at their best in the same position so it's tricky to use them. If Moy can play on the right then it would make sense to have him there.
Also, it was Riat playing in front of the net on the second PP unit, Ambühl played in the slot.
I could see something like

Riat
Malgin - Ambühl - Andrighetto
Kukan

Would be a tough loss, he was good, and if you are not good to go after a check in the head it must be because there is concussion suspicion ?
There is no further info regarding that. Only that he is questionable and a bit hurt („Angeschlagen“)

Fiala's wife was pregnant but they lost their child last week. That's why he was late. Unbelievable that he's still coming under that circumstances.
