When is the last time we bought a player straight from Argentina? This is a first.

Is he good D2M?

He was very good in the u20 tournament. Still aways away for a team trying to win trophies. Needs a year to establish himself in SA bare minimum.

Trincao linked with both Manchester clubs. Barca retain a 50% sell-on clause, so if does make onot those moves it could be a nice little windfall. That said, if the club is indeed considering a RW then the 25 million buy back clause might make sense.

Chelsea licking their chops to buy players who are five years too early for Europe.

It's either them or us and look at our track record with youth.

Wait this is real?

I have been seeing reports about Junior to SA for close to three months now. Some say that Perez wants 200+ million for himself. I have seen they won't sell him under a billion. Now the new reports say that RM won't sell except for 1.3 billion Euros lol.

Well traveled ex Portuguese international Ruben Semedo with another of his wtf destinations, signing in the second Qatari league. Most of his choices since being bought by Villarreal for 14 mil some years back were of the wtf variety, but this one tops them. Still only 30. That level has to be similar to Sunday League.

He’s a rapist and a woman beater among other things

Holy hell, I was not familiar with all this. Quite the rep sheet. Him playing in no-extradition Qatar makes more sense now.

Get him to the Greek.

Wasting 150M on Isak would be incredibly dumb.

Keep in mind when he was in la liga I wanted him for 30m… not touching that price.

We won’t spend 150 million Isak. Either way, if you think Atleti are going to do us any favors on Alvarez you’re mistaken.

I have an idea on a striker option that might be pretty cost effective and that might be a bargain at the end of the day.

Favours? It’s our birth right! He needs to be a clue he was born to be one. His on loan at atleti.

Who’s the striker you have in mind?

I do love how mad you are that the "born to be a Cule" Argentinian player went to the club with the Argentinian coach and four other Argentinian players who play the most Argentinian style, instead of silly ol' Barca.
For a supposed archer fan you humour is ass.

The most Argentinian style? Atleti don’t have style they play with 9/10 defenders. They’re not even close to being similar.

Well first you have to consider Lewandowski is going nowhere. Then you have to factor in Torres isn’t good enough and he’s probably not going anywhere either, but he can function out wide. That leaves an available pool of strikers with more to consider than you’d think. Problem is a couple of them at least are going to be really expensive. Another will be cheaper, but still somewhat unproven. Another one also still somewhat unproven, but we might be able to negotiate a deal on.

Guy I’m thinking of is a real low all things considered especially with regards to perception, but still seems to have some decent underlying numbers. Also somewhat prove and I think he’d bring some things Flick would welcome. Might be able to an agree a loan deal with the option (not obligation) to buy at a lower price. His wages aren’t bad either.

Then in a year, Lewandowski is gone and you can either take up this option or look elsewhere.

You said a lot but didn't say a name.

Still would go for Gyokeres

Yes, that was intentional, though I think the player in question is pretty obvious. Linked with a move to Saudi Arabia though, so that can totally change the equation.

Gyokeres was the last one mentioned. The Trincao sell-on might help us get something off of Gyokeres.

Sounds like it's a salary dispute. He wants a larger contract than they're willing to give him and he's willing to leave if he doesn't get it versus him actively wanting out.
He'll settle for something in the region for 110K-150K a week. It's not like there's a huge market for him. Other clubs have noticed his regression this season.

Shakhtar paying 16 mil to get Mineiro's winger Alisson Santana. Not great goals/assist numbers for the 19yo, but great underlying numbers.

He's supposedly asking for 180k a week. Which is just absurd for where he is currently at. Should be a fun negotiation...

I am with D2M, I don't really see how Atletico plays the same as the National Argentina team. I would think that this year's version of Liverpool is the closest to how Argentina won the World Cup last time.

You lot are going to have to outbid a very desperate Man Divided club for him.
