Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season

I watched every pitch and the 8th inning easily could have been a 1,2,3 inning

Nothing was hit hard and had Bregman not stumbled possible/likeky DP

Only the 4th batter walk did Slaten not pitch well in his 4 batters before Cora correctly yanked him

It should have been a 4-3 loss

Campbell walked in 9th on a ball 4 that was a perfect strike by Bautista - Sox likely get nothing in 9th

Devers is not chasing - his decision making is surprisingly very good

Hopefully it’s as Merloni who is freakin excellent says with his hands and arm thru zone

Seems all mechanical

Devers per Lou is not sulking at all

He could lose 15 lbs but he’s not grossly overweight

Anthony may need to come up and get Rafaela who’s a mess as a 2 days a week starter and defensive replacement

They were in every game
Coincidentally "Could lose 15 lbs but not grossly overweight" was also the about me section of my dating profile

Anthony, Duran, and Abreu is gonna be an incredible outfield. Sooner rather than later I hope.

Last day to join the fantasy league. If anyone else is interested. We currently have 8 teams would love to use the final two spots. But if not we'll just go with an 8 person league.

Join and have some fun. No pressure

The torpedo bat craze is starting to spread but i personally don't think much yet because i mean, have people looked at the Brewers pitching staff?

Sure the Yankees absolutely put those bats to use but the Brewers per baseball reference have surrender the most runs (45) in a four game span in baseball's recorded history. Let's see if those bats put a dent in Arizona's actually not trash pitching staff starting tonight before we make any conclusions.

The Brewers shut out KC today.

It’s the first week, man. Pump the brakes.

Torpedo Bats are the greatest sports marketing scheme since the original Air Jordans…

Mayer is eventually starting on the left side somewhere and why we will never see Devers back there

Devers I believe gets it together - Rafaela swinging at everything concerns me more. However, he should still be the 4th OF & backup SS offering defense and speed - also has power when actually connects

Trading Abreu not an option

The OF should be
Duran
Abreu
Anthony
Rafaela (the SS thing invaluable)
Refsnyder

People always talk about the risk of signing older free agents. Well there is a lot of risk in locking up a young player with no big league experience to an 8 year deal. It's not a lot of money but it's a gamble nonetheless. If you don't want to be a contender for long term free agents then you better hit on these Campbell/Crochet deals etc.

60 million over eight years is a rounding error even for this mid-market team. Really feels like a zero risk deal with tremendous upside.

The risk is that he just doesn't pan out like you expect. We all think he will be good but still only has 5 big league games to go off of.

I can understand taking a deal that sets you up for life while also still leaving you a free agency window when you're older to earn more. The deal Campbell got can free his mind.
