I’m sure second

I would rather have Bregman be good at 2B than good at 3B

I would rather have Devers focused and driven then what he’s been 2 of last 3 seasons

Cora has been a regular on the mlb network shows and in Boston and spoke about Devers often

This is a nothing burger

Raffy will have to play self off 3B
Couldn’t disagree more. I don’t like the optics of playing a Gold Glove 3B at 2B just because it ruffles ONE player in the clubhouse’s feathers. That’s a dangerous precedent to set.

Sure Bregman will probably be a ++2B if they play him there. But they’re a way better team with him at 3B and Campbell slotting up to 2B, if Campbell has a good spring.

The sooner Devers realizes that his days at 3B are numbered (not just with Boston, but ANY MLB club) the better it is for everyone. Including him.

Agree completely. You play the position that makes the team best not the position that makes you happiest or brings you the most glory.

This translation was very helpful in understanding that this is not off the table. Summary, the translator says, Devers actually sounded pretty chill and open to talking to the Sox. Frustration percolated as the media incessantly kept asking about moving off 3rd. He didn't say he wouldn't but more implied he has not been asked to while maintaining he does prefer third when asked very specifically what position he prefers.

I am not a media hater, but it does seem like this is the type of problem that starts because everyone needs a flashy headline. Maybe the writers should be supported by translators rather then expecting the players to learn a new language. I mean even if you start learning a language at 19 most regular people wouldn't be fluent in a few short years. They may speak english in the clubhouse and with friends, but feel more comfortable with a translator in front of the media.

Also, if this guys interpretation is right, then whoever is paying Rafael's current translator, should start to look for a replacement who won't be so prone to add fuel to the fire.
I heard Raffy getting questions in English and not getting a translation and still answering like a spoiled brat.

Devers for Guerrero

Let’s go !!!!!

Boggs wearing Red Sox cap to HOF

I was always eyeing Mattingly / jealous we had Boggs they had Donny Baseball

Bregman was meant to be a second baseman

There's nothing fantastic about a douchebag young player talking like this
Why is he a douche bag - he’s a regular at area hospitals and shelters

What is your story ?

One of the biggest examples of who asked you, I have ever heard from Casas. This guy's ego is absolutely out of control.
Mr Negativeside has spoken

You got a shitty opinion on everything - maybe we shouldn’t hear from you

This is gonna be your angle here? What is your story other than being a fantasy sports legend and having the ability to consume every podcast ever produced?

Douchebag in a sports setting. JFC. Has nothing to do with him doing charity work like any other athlete.

As a noted Casas defender I think it's really f***ing stupid for him to get involved here in this way.

I 100% understand and applaud him for wanting to defend a teammate, but this is not how you do it. You're making a bad situation worse, and with just a little more thought he could have done all the good stuff without the bad.

"I love Raffy, I think he's a great third baseman, and he wants to stay at the position because he's a competitor. How can you not love that? But I'm also confident this will all work itself out and one way or another we'll put our best team out there on Opening Day. And with Alex Bregman no matter where he's playing we'll be a better team."

Casas likes to hear himself talk, obviously.

Ask him a question on the spot, he'll say whatever comes to mind in the moment.

I think he's harmless in this situation, because no one thinks Raffy is the best third baseman in the game. Just makes him look dumb.
