That is true lol. I blame it on being 5 am here and a lack of sleep. I guess he's on pace for 70 this year but that's it.

I agree we have the assets just that the asset is Bichsel who I wouldn't trade for Jones (Im personally sceptical that Stankoven or Bourque hold much value outside of Dallas)

With respect, Blues fans covet Stankoven, but are a little too enamored by him. Good playmaker who is not the fastest out there, but has a methodical approach. I’m not sure many outside the Central know the Stars like we do. But me thinks much of the NHL fan base sees Stank as a star.

All it takes is one GM in the East to overvalue Stank. Although, trading him would be a mistake unless it is for a good RHD.

As prospect watchers, many of us Blues fans were hopeful/fearful (lol) that Mav would be able to adjust to the NHL in a more robust manner. He’s coming along fine and I just can’t see him being traded. It would be a big mistake. The cupboard is thin.

To be clear, I really like Stankoven aswell and wouldn't trade him for anything but a good RD. Just think that it's very possible that various size obsessed FO's value him lower.

That is possible that his size is a concern, but I agree that trading him would be a mistake. I think Nill needs to be uber conservative with his young players. Stank and Mav need to stay put and gel with the rest of the core.

I’ll add that, if it looks probable that Seguin is back for the playoffs, then resting JRob will be paramount. And Duchene, for that matter.

at this point there's nobody that's been rumored to be available that is worth pursuing as a meaningful upgrade,
Just need some cheap AHL quality guys to replace Dumba and Smith and hope luck carries us through

I don't think he's ever hated him, just poking fun at the scenario, and so many people pushed against him on it, that he just keeps it up for the laughs at how everyone overreacts to it.

Buffalo is such an interesting team. Their prospect cupboards are stocked and their team is still in the league's cellar. Cozens has been shopped for months with no resolution. Alex Tuch could be available. They're allegedly fielding offers on JJ Peterka. How many contenders are looking to make a hockey trade in March though?

a lot of them would be upgrades but you're going from like a 3 to a 3.1 kind of upgrade, nothing that is a real upgrade that is also a UFA that isn't already on the PO team.

Pretty much any of them

But at best that's all any of them are. Just 3rd pairing guys who will be slightly better than Dumba/Smith.

Savard, Jokiharju, etc.

It's only part of what this team needs though. We still need another top 4 RD, and I don't think there are any available really without term.
