I wouldn't question Dallasman's take on the return..... This deal was done last night, the hold up was the extension, therefore the return was previously agreed upon.

Either way..... We have made a huge statement with this trade ..... Just make it official.....hurry!

If the deal really did include picks then a 3rd team might be involved or the deal might depend on another deal the Canes are looking to make. We don't know if these options are still available. On deadline day, the landscape can change quickly.

Stankoven and 2 1st's is the deal if we re-sign him.

Friedman just confirmed that the deal will be around Rantanen for Stankoven and two 1sts...but he thinks that a 3rd round pick and other pieces may be involved as well.

David Amber then asked him if those picks may be in play today and Friedman answered by saying "a lot of people are thinking like you".

So if that's the deal then there's a good chance the Canes aren't done just yet.
