It’s not the sole reason, there are many factors, poor goalie play, poor defensive play, injuries, bad coaching / good coaching, puck luck, whistles, confidence, roster construction, playoffs vs regular season.Yea I'm sorry but the difference in play between the regular season and playoffs doesn't take you from a Vezina winner to .815 SV%. That's ridiculous.
John Gibson didn’t have above a .904 save percentage the last 5 seasons, and had 2 seasons sub .900. Did I think he suddenly forgot how to be a goalie, or were the other factors into his statistical decline ?
