You are right about Perreault.

However Hagens is already 18...a hell o a player but if Shaeffer is one of the best d of Team Canada with Dickinson at barely 17 it would be amazing.
I like Schaefer a lot but I still have a lot of faith in Hagens. I think he's just gotten bad luck in the NCAA so far when it comes to his shooting, which is kind of absurd since he's also still at over an assist per game.

I hope the Laine return will not changing about the draft position.

I wanted to make playoffs this year, but at this moment I'm really focused about having a top 5 pick to select between Schaefer, Misa, Martone, Hagens and Desnoyers.
Same here, was excited for us to be competitive this year but now I want one of these top guys, especially Schaefer. Hopefully Laine makes the games more entertaining without affecting the standings

Yess. That will be very good to add a player like Schaefer, I think one of 5 I mentionned will change the team. Misa is my favorite, but Hagens and Martone are special talent aswell. Desnoyers have unreal potential, two-way guy who will be good in all areas of the game. He is literally the guy MTL miss at this point with all his qualities of compete and complete.

Misa and Schaefer are easily my top 2 at this moment in my draft ranking, I don't know who put #1 haha!

All though he’s not Celebrini/Bedard, I think Hagens have become underrated here. He would become our best player if he reach his potential

He is very good. But I think Misa have something more special in him. He is a 1st overall pick talent in my eyes.

Desnoyers in top 5??

Frondell, Spence or McQueen should be well ahead IMHO

Frondell have injuries issues. Really good player though. I prefer the game of Desnoyers than McQueen in general. Spence should not be in that conversation to me. More likely in 8-12 range at this point.

Yeah, Spence is Calgary pick if he's still there. He might not be in our range unless Montreal falls back in draft with an improved 2nd half performance.

They're not ahead... in their mastery of French.

Misa would be a perfect center for Demidov as a more shoot first guy down the middle.

Hagens would almost assuredly need to be paired with Caufield giving Demidov to Suzuki.
Also had a playmaking winger, Slaf, in the equation. A shoot first center will be needed if Demidov stays on the wing.

I understand what your saying, but I wouldn’t draft a 1st overall on who fit well on the team, I want to draft the guy who will be the motor of my offence.

I can see Hagens becoming that but not sure I see Misa becoming that all though I see him becoming a very good 1st line player

I'm not saying to draft a 1st overall based on fit, just saying how either would shape our line up.

One of the top 5: schaeffer, misa, hagens, martone, desnoyers and alongside with who ever falls in the 10-15 range (assuming that’s where cgy pick ends up) of Carter bear, frondell, McQueen, Eklund, Spence, Hensler would be a dream

Carter bear is becoming one of my favourites. My fearless prediction is he goes top 10 when all said and done
