Spence, Bear and Lakovic will be great players to keep an eye on with Calgary’s pick if it’s 11-15.

The only thing I don't like about it is drafting another winger with a top pick, making it three wingers with four top 5 picks. That's not how you draw up a rebuild. But I love Martone and his size and skill would do wonders.
Hagens and Misa fill a potential 1C need and Schaefer the 1D we desperately need.
Give me any of these four guys.
Yeah any one of Martone, Misa or Schaeffer would bring this team to another level.
Misa 21 goals in 17 games. If he plays full season on pace for 80+ goals. Has that been done lately?
His teammate Epperson could he be late round pick? First year in OHL. Putting up decent numbers, looks like bit of spunk to his game.

Where X is either Hage if he pans out or we use the ammo from elsewhere to get a legitimate 2C. Don't think there are many teams top 6 wingers that can compete with Demidov/Martone/CC/Slaf.

I get the winger concerns but I would not pass on Martone for a lesser prospect. It's one thing if he was a 6 foot skilled winger. But he's an absolute horse.

Good list. I have Shaeffer first. The dude just turned 17 . He is a full year younger than Martone.
He had a mono ..just came back and he is dominant out there Shaeffer is a game changer.

How would you compare Martone to Fantilli?...I mean i know that Fantilli is technically a centre, but....

At this time, there is no No1 D on that team. Not Reinbacher, Not Guhle. Not Hutson. Nobody. Schaefer would be so much better than those guys. And complete. But yeah...would have been great to have 2 top 10 picks the way the Sens got them.....

I think that athletically Fantilli is superior.. but in terms of tools and IQ, I go with Martone.
I was never that big of a fan of Fantilli, he's kind of like a supercharged Cozens.. the athletic package and toolkit is too loud not to produce in the NHL, but it rarely ends up being the right mix of plays etc. to contribute to sustainable winning hockey.
We won't be a Stanley cup contender with Nick Suzuki as our #1 center. It would be weird to go through 4 top 5 picks and not come out with a single elite center...
I agree but Martone is not a center and Misa is not a sure number 1 center in the Nhl.
Shaeffer will be a number 1 defenceman

not the best game from Hagens but the game was kind of flat after Friday's being one of the best games i've seen this season.
