yeah McQueen is way too high haha, same with Wozniak.

I know I have Misa and Hensler above them, but I can understand the interest for both. A very interesting draft, yet again, and a shitload of picks for us, yet again.

Really surprise to see Carbonneau before Desnoyers

McQueen is great but he hasn`t shown me first line IQ yet.

I'm quite high on Carbonneau as well but he's too high. These are the July lists, always filled with "names" for views.
I like Carbonneau too do get me wrong but I’m talking Desnoyers before him without hesitation as now

Agreed. Also my fearless summer hot take is that Desnoyers ends up being a top 5 pick by next summer.
Not sure he will be a top 5 but he could finish close to the top 10

He's such a good skater that it weirdly makes him seem smaller than he is.

The athletic package is great, I don't think the IQ is there to be a top producer but I think he could be a bigger Dustin Brown who was a very valuable and integral part to the Kings wins.

Yeah, can't go wrong with some size. I just worry that our D maybe won't be championship caliber, although we have a lot of nice pieces. There's always the trade option to fix that too.

I don't have any worry on the D unless the development curves go away. It's more of the Canes model where no one is a true 1 but you have people who are 1s on the defensive end and on the offensive end. Our advantage will also be that we can play our 3rd pair way more than other teams, keeping our best players fresh and able to execute at their optimal level deeper into games/series'.

Oh yeah, big time natural athlete. I fully expect him to dominate the combine a la Struble next summer. Super mature kid as well, excellent academically, already focused and professional. There's a ton to like about him as a person outside of the rink. You can bet we're going to hear about him a lot as the draft draws near.

4 teams we likely outrank next year have taken a D last Friday:
CHI with Levshunov
CGY with Parekh
SJS with Dickinson
ANA with Solberg
...and the first 3 teams are far from a finished product on the back end.

I will start deluding myself some big Ds are gonna make a push for the top 8 and one of the mammoths fall to us incidentally.
Sure worked this year :sarcasm:

Feel free to join me!

Weak.

Its Schaefer and Hensler, and Hensler has a lot of warts.
Luka Radivojevič is a great D as well. Already at the level of Cole Hutson- size and quality. He already played at WJC (he was better that Nemec or Cernak at same age) and was U18 All Star. Already 6 games in SHL, even if he is still small, he competes hard and can handle bigger players along the boards. If he can grow couple inches he will be top 10.

How's next year top players compared to this year ? Any elite/superstars like Bedard, Celibrini, Carlsson, Demidov, Fantili and Michkov ?

Oh yeah, the top of this class is exciting. Hagens is a beauty, but Martone is too. 6'4, crazy skilled.

Hagens, Martone & Frondell have the potential to be top line / franchise players. It's a deeper draft comparable to 2023 where there was a fab 4 and still a whole bunch of potential top 6 forwards after them.

A lot of centers in top 16, too. 7 of first 10 picks could be centers.
