Have a bad feeling Hagens will be the underrated American guy that makes people look silly in a few years when he's drafted behind a whole bunch of "Just a Guy" players.

There's still a non-zero chance the Islanders draft him or trade down to draft him. I wouldn't bet on it but it wouldn't surprise me either

but it's hard to put any stock in Button's opinions. He only watches tournaments, and never justifies his rankings. It's just a list with no observations.

Button, Pronman, Wheeler, etc all talk to agents, coaches, scouts during these tournaments. Button was an NHL scouting/draft executive. I think he has an idea of what he is talking about?

That’s just not true, I personally have seen him in OHL arenas during the regular season.

Who would you rather have on your team in the playoffs?

You can have all the size in the world but if you play like you would rather be golfing than what good are you?

Draft the player who competes the hardest regardless of size.

The Hawks need the most talented kid available. They can worry about size and grit down the road. Lots of guys with size and grit available in the middle of the 1st and beyond.

Think Davidson is also on record saying that there are other ways to add size to your lineup than just through the draft
