no not every move.. Bedard was a good pick and I liked Nazar but other than that ya dogshit and pennies on the dollar moves. Major overpayments past 2 yrs for straight washed up vets.

Thats pretty extreme viewpoint on propects! Hard say that this early as prospects take time like I said to BWC.

Also what veterans would you have brought in that were available and were realistic for Hawks. Dont say Guentzel as Hawks tried to sign him but he chose Tampa for obvious reasons!

Brodie was head scratcher but other than that just place holders until prospect are ready.

Can’t find Hagens stats, but I believe he’s above 50%. Misa as of early January was above 54%. For comparison, Greene above 54% and Moore above 51%.
After last night's games:
Ryan Green has taken 379 draws in 22 games and has won 209 of them for a 55% success rate. He averages 19:55 ice-time per game.
Oliver Moore has taken 421 draws in 25 games and has won 210 of them for a 50% success rate. He averages 17:05 ice-time per game.
Face-offs are one of those things that gets better as one ages. With Moore being 2 years younger than Greene I expect his numbers to be at least as good as Greene's by the time he's at the same age.

I mean yeah he did overpay for a bunch of vets. But that's how you fill out a roster while tanking/rebuilding. I mean someone has to play games while the kids are developing.

None of the overpayments have term on their deals and will be off the books by the time they have to pay anyone. Yeah the Brodie deal is looking awful but is it really going to prevent them from doing anything that they want to do?

People are getting so worked up about players who won’t be here two years from now when the games start to matter. Let the kids marinate for now. Kyle needs to stay the course.

but then they pluck away the rockford coach for a team that is going to finish last anyway instead of just leaving them all in rockford to try to build a winning culture there while the main team continues to stack tank wins

Every plan is great until you get punched in the face. Yeah, they underachieved to start the season so they had to fire the coach. It's really easy to question everything after the fact. So what would you have done differently?

Who cares about Rockford? We went from Q-->Colliton-->King-->LuRich. That's a huge drop off and a long time of having a terrible coaching unit. The NHL is what matters and we have enough young kids up on the Hawks, not in Rockford, that need to learn a decent structure while they're up here. This is way better than have them be offensively suffocated by Richardson or doing god knows what with a a guy like Colliton.

Bedard, Bertuzzi(not young but important), Teuvo, Vlassic, Reichel, Allan, Kurashev, Nazar, Crevier, Dach, Kaiser, Del Mastro, and Korchinski. When these guys are in the lineup we're hoping theyre getting better as young NHLers. It doesn't help us to have them play like shit just to finish last instead of second to last. When guys like Korchinski, Levshunov, Slaggert, etc...do come up from Rockford I'd rather they be hopping into an established system that's at least a decent way of playing hockey as opposed to a total mess.
