Calling it now, Frondell just might rise to #1 in the draft. He has had a monstrous development after most draft rankings placed him #5-8. The last few weeks he has 16 points over 8 games in pro hockey while averaging 12 minutes per game. He's playing together with Victor Eklund and their line is absolutely tearing it up while playing in a professional league not far from AHL-standard.
The only U18 players who can compare through Hockeyallsvenskan history are David Pastrnak and William Nylander, but that's seen over the full season. What Frondell has displayed the last few weeks where his ice time grew completely lacks comparables. It's a small sample size, but it will be exciting to follow for sure.
I don't see him overtaking Misa or Hagens, or Schaefer for that matter. I could see 4th though, if teams are put off by Martone's skating and McQueen's injuries
