I disagree. The Dodgers are what I want the Red Sox to be.

As for Casas, ultimately I can handle his bizarre behavior IF I knew I was getting a reliable, dependable player. He hasn't proven to be that yet. Out much longer than expected last year when the team needed him and then calls himself a warrior or tough blah blah blah for finally coming back. That's what I can do without. Be in the lineup, produce and feel free to do whatever the hell you want.

It's not like these trade rumors are coming from fans. There's some smoke there. Clearly the organization isn't sold on him.

Simple. Guarantee a massive extension that can rival what the Dodgers would offer if he signs the 1 year deal. That said...Sasaki has made it abundantly clear that he wants to pitch with his mentor Yu Darvish. So that means he's been favoring the Padres since the start.
