Absolute dumb as shit organization. Absolute f***ing morons.

There are so many free agents you can sign for nothing but f***ing money. Breslow sucks. Kennedy sucks. Henry sucks.

I do not care about losing a top prospect. I really don't. This is what you SHOULD be doing. You can't keep every single top prospect. Now, the question becomes if they made the correct evaluation. If Teel is a stud and Crochet blows we will be on to another GM.

Now, if they still don't make a massive payroll type signing then that is still on the table. That the organization/ownership is penny pinching.

Teel hurts because the Sox really need someone better than Wong. To be honest, he struggled at Worcester a little bit this year. He'll probably be a really good Major Leaguer, though.

I feel like with Abreu, Duran, Anthony, and Campbell, they could afford to trade someone like Montgomery.

Meidroth is probably blocked.

I still like Gonzalez, but he's probably more of a reliever.

If he sucks/can't stay healthy this trade sucks.

If he's good and they (obviously) want to keep him THEY HAVE TO GIVE HIM THE SAME f***ING DEAL EVERY GOOD FREE AGENT PITCHER IS GETTING RIGHT NOW.

So just sign one of them!

Teel is tough to lose, he seems like he could turn into Adley Rutschman-lite.

Anybody have the number for the Red Sox chief medical officer? I need it for...reasons

I still want them to sign someone. This was a multi move offseason. I just can't get worked up over trading a top prospect. People lost their minds when Dombrowski traded Anderson Espinoza. It's a GMs job to make the correct evaluations/decisions on prospects. You simply don't keep all of them. Breslow better hope he got this one right though (if Breslow is even the guy making these moves).

Underlying reason why I like

It *should* mean their OF going forward is

Duran
Rafaela
Abreu
Anthony

It likely means Casas is safe

Teel could be Posey but he’s the 1 of 4 I’d give up

What about a top catching prospect? Isn't that exactly who you keep?

You don't, but you can't do half measures. Now that they trade for Crochet and sacrificed significant prospect value, it's clearly a win now move. It adds even more pressure than before. Now I absolutely want them to overpay for Burnes and add someone like Murphy.

This deal only makes sense if they're about to spend a ton more money in free agency. If they want to spend some of their future on someone who can help now, that's fine, but the rest of the team isn't good enough to win now.

I'm taking bets on whether Crochet throws more innings for the Red Sox than Sale. Get your money in now before the odds change!

In theory all of the big 4 are guys you would keep. But the percentages say maybe 2 of the 4 work out. That's what I mean by it's a GMs job to make the proper evaluations. I haven't seen any of these prospects play a single game or inning.

I've said it a million times, there's nothing more valuable in baseball than a catcher who can slug. If you have a Buster Posey, Sal Perez, Realmuto type who can slot in the middle of your lineup and play decent defense, everything else in your lineup falls into place from there and you don't have the traditional hole in the order from catcher.

Teel was the one guy I did not want to lose. Mayer I can swallow, even Campbell, but not Teel.

I'm now firmly anti-Breslow.
