ryabkin has way too much talent to drop too far. some team is going to take a homerun swing and pick him. I'm not sure i would have the guts to do it. but then again, we are a team that needs to be taking homerun swings.Ryabkin at 16ov is interesting as well. He dropped a bit in a few other lists. He'd be a fantastic get with the Rangers 1st.
I expect it to as of today.I don't know if Frondell over Martone happens.
He’s not that good, is why. IMO.Odd to see Desnoyers at 14ov though. I highly doubt he drops that far.
I’d be happy with anyone in top 5. Think 5OA ensures you one of Misa/Hagens/Martone/Frondell. Haven’t seen a ton of anyone but kinda feel like if you can’t get Schaefer the other 4 are similar caliber.we need top 4. we could drop one slot if we stink up the lotto.
I don't think Ryabkin is a "homerun" swing player though. I think he's a mid-1st talent in a weak draft and likely a mid-2nd round talent in a strong draft.ryabkin has way too much talent to drop too far. some team is going to take a homerun swing and pick him. he's a highly skilled head case....... seems his "give a dam" is broke. At #4 yes. If Misa or Hagens are on the board, I do not believe that will be the case. Taking Martone over Misa is willful negligence. If anyone at FSG knows anything about any of them and they watch Dubas take Martone over Misa, he's fired. Course, I'm super high on Misa so I'm biased.

It's looking more likely that the pick will fall in 2025 rather than 2026. Their 1st is currently sitting at 14th overall and it seems to be on the upward trend. The Rangers are still pretty ass but it seems like Miller is trying to drag them into the playoffs.
I'm just hoping it comes in at like #14 or #15, otherwise it slides to next year.

Was watching a little of that 1st period and I was just telling myself what does the GM even do there!! It's quite sad I wouldn't even know where to start..The Sabres are dogshit, we shouldnt expect any help from them. The Pens will probably be picking 5th or 6th barring any lottery movements
I think if you go small skilled guy at that pick you gotta go Potter. I think he’s got top 10 talent with a decent floor of utility player.Sounds like Ryabkin is falling for other reasons. Possibly weight issues and being a douchebag.
Watched a game of Cam Schmidt.. holy lord is he tiny, but fun to watch. Absolutely has the skating you need to overcome the size issue (unlike Matthew Phillips). Fast, darting, stops on a dime. Really quick hands that remind me of Sergei Samsonov but may be even smaller. His shot looks NHL caliber, right now, too. Like even #1 PP unit caliber. Just as a possible pick if we get the Rangers pick. I like the Kindels and O’Briens and Reschnys but Schmidt just.. if he can overcome his size and not get killed he’ll be elite.
If we picked like.. 9OA I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s him. Screams Wes Clark.Brady Martin looks pretty good, and he's a Soo kid so there's a connection there. Maybe another option with the later pick.
Looks like a jack-of-all-trades player. In the 1 shift-by-shift I watched he played every single forward position, PP, PK.

Yeah he’s probably the fastest player in the draft.I think if you go small skilled guy at that pick you gotta go Potter. I think he’s got top 10 talent with a decent floor of utility player.
