Book it.Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?
Call the stakes. What are we trading? Avatar's?
Book it.Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?
Thanks for the edit, messed with my eyes.Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?
This is going to be the year we finally win the draft lottery.
I know this wasn't directed at me, but I think Brady Martin could be the guy, if we are picking at 12-15.Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?
Honestly I usually dedicate more energy to guessing who we'll take rather than who I want us to take. I think this year is really tough.I know this wasn't directed at me, but I think Brady Martin could be the guy, if we are picking at 12-15.
I am not sure if they would like O'Brien or not and I don't think Nesbitt is going in the top 20 picks.Honestly I usually dedicate more energy to guessing who we'll take rather than who I want us to take. I think this year is really tough.
If we take a D, it's probably Mrtka: 6'6 TWD, Smith: 6'3 TWD, Hensler: 6'2 TWD, or Aitcheson: 6'2: TWD. Those guys are all Yzerman types. I can't eliminate any of them based on team preferences.
If we take a C, it's probably Bear: 6' and competitive, O'Brien: 6'2 and competitive (probably the biggest stretch here), Martin: 6' and competitive, or Nesbitt: 6'4 and competitive.
For my "I want skilled fast, smart, (small) and fancy shmancy," are we just hoping that Eklund falls or that we reach for Ben Kindel? I'm pretty torn on Carbonneau. His game feels like it will either transfer really well or not at all.
I totally agree, which is admittedly sad.Personally I wouldn’t want to gamble on Bear. Really tough break for the kid with the Achilles injury.
Lakovic.Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?
Not to be argumentative, and Achilles injuries do suck; but I will say it really isn't much of a gamble due to the injury, unless he has some crazy complications or something. The Achilles tendon takes a long time to heal, but it basically recovers to full strength, as long as everything goes well. If he drops and is the BPA, I wouldn't be hesitant to take him, if his medical reports are coming back green.Personally I wouldn’t want to gamble on Bear. Really tough break for the kid with the Achilles injury.

Second round ? Best Russian prospect this draft?
Wish we had taken the last stud from MN getting D1 football offers...Button had this kid on his list and he looks like a very interesting player. Apparently he is a dual sport athlete and also getting D1 offers for football.

Yeah McQueen definitely fits the mold. I think he'll end up going before we pick but if he's there, I think that's who Yzerman/Draper would go for.I am not sure if they would like O'Brien or not and I don't think Nesbitt is going in the top 20 picks.
I would guess they are probably high on Bear, Martin, Mrtka, and Smith.
The other guy I think they might like is McQueen. Keep in mind they probably have a book on him going back to when he played with Danielson.
Everyone knows that Euro players get a +2 to fancy schmanciness. You get a +1 for playing in the Q and a -2 for playing in the WHL or OHL.Bear is 99% winger. He also sliced his Achilles tendon. I want to stay away from that.
Eklund is not a small fancy schmancy forward. He plays scrappy and is hard on the forecheck.
3rd rounder take a swing.Mason West interests me at 6:05. How good is he at football? Will he commit to hockey?
Anders Lee, who was also from Edina now that I think about it.Who was that?
