Also got an offer to re-sign Kane.
So that's the end of my draft this time.
EDIT: I didn't move the lines around.
Fits the window. He's big. Hard to play against. Possible untapped potential in a different system. Why do people like Hague so much? He has bad stats on a good team with limited minutes. Imagine how bad they would get on our team.
some datsyuk thievery from desnoyers to win it in OT
He will not be available for Red WingsI’m not sure what to think of this guy, I watched a decent amount of clips on him this weekend.
I wish he skated a little better and I thought he was bigger? (EP has him listed at 6’2, but central scouting has him at 6’0). I like the IQ and skill though, and he is not a perimeter player at all.
I’m fine with taking him high if you think he can continue to make gains with the skating.

He kind of reminds me of Barrett Hayton.I’ve been like warm on him but I can see the appeal of a player like him in a pretty mid draft. He might become an ideal 2C. PLD minus being a headcase or maybe Braydon Schenn type of impact. I get a feeling he’s gone by 5 or 6. I don’t imagine he’s a bust but I don’t expect him to become a true 1st line talent.
No I just wanted a broader context. Ive watched a lot of Vegas since I think Im going to pick them as my stanley cup team for my playoff pool.Only regular minus player among their blueliners. He doesn't have any stats that look great. Not saying he is terrible, but people keep mentioning him like he is really good. He would play higher minutes here, and if he can't handle 16-17 a game all that well with them, how will he handle 1-3 more a game with us?
I absolutely love him. I think he reads the play really, really well and makes plays at pro speed, which I really value (and think also bodes well for playing center long-term). Personally I think there is more puck skill than advertised but the skating is slightly overrated as you mention (though still fine).I’m not sure what to think of this guy, I watched a decent amount of clips on him this weekend.

Hayton played a heavier, more physical game at that age though. Similar skill level perhaps. He kind of reminds me of Barrett Hayton.
He's actually terrible, one of the worst D in the league.Only regular minus player among their blueliners. He doesn't have any stats that look great. Can already tell you right now, it’s gonna be Milton Gastrin.
Euro, “two way center who back checks well, good leadership and character qualities and high hockey iq”.
This literally has Steve and Draper’s MO all over it.
Book it on draft day.Nope.
Book it on draft day.
Who do you think they’re taking at 12-15?Ok, call the stakes.
I say, Detroit doesn't take Gastrin on day one of the draft with their 1st pick.
