About two more losses and I’m going to start looking for Realgud’s draft simulator to amuse myself for the rest of the year

So is there a hard to play against winger that doesn't know how to score?

Draper will never pick Misa or Martone. This team obviously needs more guys who can't score, so eventually we'll get that #1OA generational pick.

I honestly think Stevie should just tank this season and get one of those 2.

I think Brady Cleveland has a cousin, Matthew Wichita that scored a goal once when he was 8. He is REALLY BIG though.

Carbboneau or Mrtka keep coming to mind for me. I would like a centre but how bad do we need one when we have Larkin, Kasper, Danielson, Lombardi, and Finnie. Even if we had the first pick, Schaffer wouldn’t be out of my possibles
I don’t mind putting another center in the bank. It’s not unheard of for a center to move to wing. It’s almost unheard of for a winger to convert to center and have the same success.

I honestly expect us to pick anywhere from 5th to 10th. We aren’t getting out of the bottom 10 this year, that much I know. It would be pretty awesome if we got a top 4 pick. Then I would feel very comfortable with this core.

I think Caleb Desnoyers might make it to where we draft. I hope we get him. After that, Justin Carbboneau, Brady Martin, or Radom Mrtka. If we got a top four pick I’m falling in love with Schaffer. What a defense he would give us

Next draft players.

Hagens, Misa, Martone, Frondell, Schaefer

After that it drops a bit, but Eklund, Desnoyers and McQueen look good aswell.

Would be happy with picking up any of these guys.

2025 is supposed to be one of the weakest draft classes since 2018?

They said 2018 was a strong class at the beginning of the year and that 2021 was a weak class at the time. Turns out it was reversed.

I think this could be an average+ year with a weak number 1 pick compared to Dahlin or Bedard, but the rest of the top 10 is super close.

This is starting to strike me as Yzermans year he drafted Drouin in Tampa. They were on the right track, the floor kinda fell out and then they ended up with a high pick, that in a roundabout way really helped the rebuild.

This years top 5 seems to be really strong. If the wings can sneak in there, they get a guy that can probably put this rebuild over the top. Theres several big centers, that have the skill and playstyle to fit what the wings are trying to do. Theres also high end skill they could add.

Draft Misa at 4th overall and let Ray tee him up for years. If you can get your hands on Martone, let him play with one of Kasper, Larkin or Danielson and watch other teams hate their life for 20 minutes a game.

McQueen, a 6'5 center that plays mean and can shoot? Its almost what Detroit needs to a tee

Which ten? An close to what? 2018 or 2021 draft, or every draft?

Last year the Draft was anticipated to be at best average, perhaps below average or even bad for where the Wings would pick. Turned out fine not just for Detroit, but others in the mid-first round. We're a couple months away or even more from having a good idea where we'll pick and who's in the picture.
