2025 26 Roster…too Soon

Donato Bedard Tippett/X

Reichel is packaged for a top six forward. Maybe a Korchinski or our first in a deal. Tippett one option. Would like to aim a bit higher but I think that’s the kind of player they can get with cap going up, less teams will be forced to move on players.
Another good add is Tanner Jeannot. UFA after this season

These are horrific suggestions

Tippett is entirely meh player and Flyers are already regretting the contract they gave him which has 7 more years at $6.2M AAV

And Jeannot is a horrible hockey player

It would be meteorically stupid for Rinzel to play in the AHL.
What's so bad about a little AHL seasoning? There were like 6 Defensemen Aged 21 (Rinzel's age next season) or Under that were able to skip playing in the AHL entirely this year (Luke Hughes, Brandt Clarke, Olen Zellweger, Simon Edvinsson, Pavel Mintyukov, Lane Hutson). Of those, only L. Hughes, Mintyukov, Hutson hadn't spent a lot of time in the AHL previously.

These suggestions are ridiculous. Sign more vets? So what, they can destroy the locker room again with no effort and piss poor leadership?

f*** that, play the kids. We saw it just last night, shitty vets costing this team for the umpteenth time. I’m starting an anti vet campaign, because some of you just refuse to learn your lesson.

The key is signing the rights vets, the vets currently on the team we can all agree are not the right ones. Running out a lineup of all 24 and under D will undoubtedly have a lot of horrid nights. Need someone to teach them good winning habits

What's wrong with signing some quality vets? Nobody is saying intentionally get a new Brodie.

Sign some legit NHL talent that can push things in the right direction.

We shouldn't be against adding veteran players, we should be against adding vets that don't bring anything beyond experience to the table.

Moore-Nazar-Bedard
Teravainen-Duchene-Mikheyev
Bertuzzi-Dickinson-(forward from Korch trade)
Jeannot-Foligno-Slaggert
Veleno

Vlasic-Rinzel
Kaiser-Levshunov
EDM-Murphy
Crevier

If John Tavares on a three year deal were interested I’d bite at that for sure. 35, 36 and 37 years old. Can give whatever cap and use him as an in-between until you hope Misa or whomever is ready to be a good top line player.

give the kids who are already doing fairly well in the NHL the opportunity next year.

Rinzel needs to be in the NHL next year IMO.

He looks great already!

No more aged vets who are hanging on to careers...

He doesn't need seasoning, that is why. Why do you think Kaiser is playing so much right now? The guy is getting traded in the offseason.

Duchene seems to love Texas based on his podcast interviews but he seems like a great teammate/vet to have
I don’t care how good of a season Tavares or Duchene are having. They are coming to a team that isn’t stacked and isn’t going to be able to hide their deficiencies. You give them stupid money, they’re going to fall off a cliff like every mid 30 year old does and then we’re stuck with more shitty vets.

Until this team is fully established, no players in their mid 30s allowed.

Chicago can pay him much more than Dallas so that could potentially convince him

But at his age, having never won a Cup, Chicago probably isn't high on his list
he's getting paid from Nashville too I believe so between that and what Dallas might give him to extend it might not matter, plus he went into family/personal reasons why he enjoys Texas as its culturally similar to Nashville
