  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
Feels like if the Hurricanes don't score here, Golden Knights will come back and tie it up...you know that the refs will feel obligated to call a penalty on the Hurricanes as a make-up...

Goodness, what a sequence from Gostisbehere!

My husband and I were talking about the Caddyshack joke regarding the ugly hat and the free bowl of soup.

Why do we need to draft elite RHD with our high picks when Carolina is running Jaylen Chatfield (undrafted), Sean Walker (undrafted), and Nikishin (3rd rd) on their right side?

Stenberg has that dawg in him like Stankhoven.

Malhotra is another Jordan Staal.
I was watching Nikishin thinking that's a kind of player Desharnais could be. really good at using his length to play keepaway from the forecheckers.

Seems like Hertl's minutes have been getting cut back. Wonder how much longer his legs can keep up. Still smart, strong, and skilled but he's noticeably slowing down.

Quick sanity check...Jaccob Slavin is a top-10 defenseman in the NHL, right?
Top 15 for me. But the 11-20 range can be nebulous

Nikishin was drafted low because folks had no idea about his upside. He was barely played in the KHL his draft year

NOW THAT guy is an offer sheet target lol

Continuing to be a broken record about how stupid puck over glass is as a penalty

It's almost as bad as the trapezoid

I disagree. It's incentive compatibility. I remember the days before it was an automatic penalty. Players on the PK regularly shot the puck over the glass to get a change when they were tired. They would then pester the ref that it was unintentional. Same reason why hand passes are legal in your own end. When they weren't, a hand pass to a teammate was another way to get a stoppage and change on the PK. Both are easier than clearing the puck.

So don't let them change, just like an icing.
