Happy for Carolina, f*** Vegas.

Some observations (nothing new):
-It's a lot of grind on top of the 82 games (which will become 84 games). Health matters a ton.
-Work mentality needs to be top tier all over the line up.
-Defencemen need to be solid, even boring to some extend more than crazy offensively.
-Team system and tactics needs to help the goalies out more than the other way around.
-Depth, depth and depth. You need to lock in some darling contracts to win it all.

Obviously there is not one way to win it, but I think this series showed some great examples for how pursue a team building if you need to get far in the playoffs.

Hopefully we get to stress out our own playoff series soon enough.

Sure, but most teams have this. More than that, you need everyone to buy into a system and have faith in each other. Players have to own their roles and responsibilities.
You worded it better than me, buying into a system is vital.

To be honest from Sharks POV, they are not far off forward wise. There's players for different roles and are fairly young to get better. Defence, coaching details and goalie consistency need to get better.

I just remembered our old pal MinJaBen, hope they're having a great time celebrating. :)

Life is good!

Does Carolina win if Florida is healthy?
They did have a very soft run of playoff competition

It's hard to say, because picking Florida to make a 4th straight finals run is just asking a lot of the human body, especially given they're an older roster, so I think it makes more sense to ask if it was ever reasonable to expect Florida to be healthy in the first place

Always love watching the cup raise

A couple entertaining observations:

1. The crowd didn't even boo Bettman. Fake ahh fans.
2. The cup is bigger than Stank! Struggled to overhead press it. Got that dawg though.

So basically you just need to wait for a team to punch themselves out and sneak in?
