I'm expecting to be underwhelmed by the Roobroeck return.

However, I think Czata and Edgar should both net huge returns. I don't like the idea of trading Edgar, but I don't think he's back next year. I think he stays here until the deadline.

Fresh press release:

“Leading up to my arrival in Niagara today, I have spoken with Krys Barch about his potential return,” he said. “I was very impressed by his professionalism and passion for this organization. As we go through our evaluation process, I owe it to this organization to do my due diligence and explore all options available. The goal is to empower the organization and make the best decision possible for our hockey club as we move forward.”

Another forward that can't score...fit in good with knauft..Monks..Hage..Smith..Galiyanov
Lewandowski had more than a ppg in the gojhl. He’s also is a 2009, has size and can play center. He slots into our top 6 next year. He was one of my steals of the draft last year and now we get him for czata. The Dman is the one that can’t score but he’s a big project at 6’7. Even if he can’t score he’s massive which we need at D. And the picks are pretty good 41, 87 this year and a future 2 and 4.

Fresh press release:

He's a good hockey man .
His hands were tied in OS.

brutal return
How was it bad? Got practically 2 seconds since the third is the first pick of round 3. Got a 5th to fill the gap in our draft class for this year. Got a 4th for the future and a future 2nd to replace the one we had. Got Lewandowski who was a second rd pick last year and should have been a first who put up over a ppg in the gojhl. Got naish who’s 6’7, a big physical D. That’s a great return. Practically 2 2nds a 4th and 2 5ths that’s a good return.

As a true rookie. He’s going to be a top 6er next year maybe even play with edgar if we keep him to the deadline. I think this trade was an absolute steal for the icedogs.

It doesn’t seem to be a bad deal; but Lewandowski won’t be a true rookie, and GOJHL to OHL top six is a big leap.

I’m not saying he’s going to be a good top 6er next year. It’s all about developing these players for the future. We need to tank next year. About him being a rookie i was saying the gojhl he was a true rookie.

Tanking is not a great way to develop. Over exposing rookies is good way to recklessly increase injury risk. Niagara could be somewhat competitive and still end up with a top six pick in ‘27.

How are we going to be competitive is the question. Our forward depth is awful, Our Dcore is much improved with a lot of tall guys but still very much a developmental Dcore. Even if we target 4 Forwards in these first 41 picks maybe 2 of them will be ohl quality for next year. We should tank, let all 4 play and develop for a year like brampton did. Trade vets at the deadline.
