Perreault had a very good game. The one blemish the turnover that led to Norway's only goal. Gabriel made a lot of plays though. The puck seems to follow him around a lot and he has eyes in the back of his head. It's like he see everything.

I liked Norway in this one though. They were competitive for at least most of the game. Brandsegg-Nygard is kind of expected to be a 1st round pick in the 2024 draft and the d-man Solberg could get in at the back end of the round or be a solid 2nd rounder. Stensrud was outstanding in net for them today and the goal scorer Vesterheim looked like a really good player too.

Didn't watch very much of the Canadian/Finland game. I watched the last two periods of Slovakia/Czechia and pretty much all of the USA/Norway game. Three f***ing games in one day is just too much for me. I'm going to be picking and choosing with Slovakia and the USA because of our draft picks the teams I'm going to focus on. I'm really not a sports nut. It's the Rangers/Hartford and our prospects that interest me. I don't really watch other sports. Maybe the World Cup. Coming about every four years kind of works for me but it's like the WJC. Not interested in watching one game after another......and I like to take summers off.

I still need convincing, a lot of convincing, that this tournament moves the needle with anyone other than Canadian fans. The ads at the rink and the size of the crowd tell me no one else cares.

Adam Sykora had a whopping 22:51 minutes of ice time today. The 2nd forward with the most had almost 3 minutes less. He was out there for everything and is going to be relied on extremely heavily.

Gabe had 15:03 of ice time. Coaching staff used the top 3 lines pretty evenly, first line only averaged a couple more minutes.

Fortescue had 18:49 minutes of ice time. Second among defensemen. He was out there for a lot of PK time.
