Finnish hockey federation needs to give Lauri Mikkola the same treatment Gallant got from Florida. f*** off, figure out your own way back to Finland. Or better yet, don't. Throw his luggage out of the bus.

Nice slap pass by Smith from the point to Perreault in front for a good deflection in

e: Perreault also had a great tip chance in front earlier again off a feed from Smith I think
 
As of right now the rangers have 4 players that have scored the tournament winning goal in the WJC.

that line has been by far the most dangerous line for the us...really the only one that's been dangerous. i've never been overly impressed by smith but he has been really good in this one. great play by smith and perrault...again. perrault has been just ok on the puck and on the boards so far but he's just so smart in the o zone finding space and creating lanes which led to multiple chances and a goal.

other than that mcgroarty and brindley were solid, and seamus casey is an absolute stud. kid isn't the fastest straight line skater but he's extremely shifty and has high end hockey iq.

You know what impresses me about Perreault?

His interviews. He always seems to be in the moment and able to answer questions quickly without a lot of "uh... uh... play the right way" filler.

Seems to be confident and have a brain.

we might need to check the math on this one. one of them is a legit 1st line center. one is very clearly establishing himself as a top 6 wing in both production and the game he's bringing consistently even when there aren't points...while not getting any real pp time. also just turned 22. the third is still hovering in that area yea, but if you don't see there's a top 6 skillset there you can take it up with henrik lundqvist who is extremely high on his ability. worst case, 1 of 3 is a 3rd liner. strong probability 0.

and then you go and sam rosen perrault by using that term one period into a gold medal game. you are an anarchist.

Definitely a kid that grew up with an NHLer for a dad. He knows the ropes and is very confident.
