Well the Bills pick 1st today and almost a lock to draft a WR. Cards and Pats I have no idea their target.
Let's just see how he does before immediately writing him off. These guys need the full support of the fanbase heading into the next levelnope , it'll be the JD supporters who ignored the stacked team he was on and ignored the weak team Maye was on who'll be making up excuses
drafting players is about projecting how they'll be at the next level and not who had the best most recent season because if was about taking the QB who had the best season JD would have gone 1st overall
i keep seeing the tape on JD and almost all of it was him having 5/6 seconds plus in a clean pocket before he makes he throws usually to a wide open receivers , he'll have no where near that time in the pros so hopefully for us his game translates at this level
anyway this being said it could be much much worse , i could be a Falcons fan wondering how much crack the guys running the draft had to smoke before they selected Penix Jr at 8 , lol
I would not be happy with this mock for our picksDay 2 NFL Mock Draft: Panthers pick CB Cooper DeJean in Round 2, QB Spencer Rattler lands with the Giants in Round 3
The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft is in the books, so now we’re here to take a swing at a Round 2 and Round 3 mock draft.www.pff.com
Was curious if day 2 mocks are a thing and they are
took rail thin Forbes which handed the Pats the much higher ranked Gonzales last yearand now took a one year wonder handing the Pats Maye
lets hope your right , what i see him is as a guy who'll run around , make the odd exciting play but for the most part we'll be making excuses how he doesn't have anyone around him to be successful
My big issues with Daniels is still he takes sacks at an absurd rate (we just saw how well that goes with Sam), he doesn't utilize the middle of the field, and he's not someone who's shown the ability to pair his running with his throwing.
i keep seeing the tape on JD and almost all of it was him having 5/6 seconds plus in a clean pocket before he makes his perfect thrown usually to a wide open receivers

This is as much because he played a full 4 years then anything else.
Agreed. NFL.com, Zielein has us taking DeJean and Suamataia in the second and J. Polk, T. Johnson and R. Green in the third. That would be a nice haul if it worked out that way.I would not be happy with this mock for our picks

Dude -- is that all you've got? Data and facts???JD average time to throw on all drop backs was 2.91 seconds. Drake Maye was 2.79. Caleb Williams was 3.16. And pressure to sacks conversion was as follows: JD 20.2, DM 19.5 CW 23.2. And for those who think he's just a scrambling QB, JD had 55 undesigned runs. Drake Maye had... checks notes... yeah, he had 51 undesigned runs. A difference of about .2 times per game.
This is awful. Zach Frazier goes 11 picks before JPJ? Someone is smoking crack.
That would be a strong day 2Agreed. NFL.com, Zielein has us taking DeJean and Suamataia in the second and J. Polk, T. Johnson and R. Green in the third. That would be a nice haul if it worked out that way.
I've seen a couple of spots that have us skipping DeJean when he's available and taking a different CB AND another safety. If they do that somebody's getting punched . Likely a person standing on a corner, drinking out of a paper bag.Let’s go get it today. CB would be very smart. It’s a huge need. I also like S (Nubin). So many good options. Just hope they don’t reach.
Mahomes is mobile as hell though not run-first and he's the best QB in the league. Russell Wilson was the same way and won a SB and was runner up in another. Hurts made the SB 2 years ago and lost to Mahomes. Kaepernick was a good rusher and made the SB but lost. Cam Newton as well.My biggest issue with Daniels isn’t so much rgiii regrets, it’s more of the fact running QBs have yet to win anything of substance. He’s described and talked about as a running QB.
I should have been more clear….
Running qb not same as mobile qb.
Mahomes, Wilson … mobile.
Jackson, Watson, rgiii…..going back Vick Cunningham….running
One group wins, the other doesn’t/hasn't.
If JD is in fact a pocket qb with exceptional running skilz…so be it, and that’s great. It’s not necessarily what I’ve been hearing past few weeks. Time to let it all play out.
I would rather draft our own at 36Rumour out here is Skins will trade 36 for Deebo Samuels.
Not sure how I feel about that. Great player — but hurt a lot
Agreed. He's also not the different -- read, big -- type that we really need.Rumour out here is Skins will trade 36 for Deebo Samuels.
