He definitely has improved. He has been facing weaker competition. Will be interesting to see his next few starts where the competition is more difficult.

He started this great run with an excellent start against Baltimore.

Even against weaker competition, most starters don't have a stretch like this.

I swear, I’ve seen about 15 no-hitters go into the 8th-9th inning in a Jays game in my lifetime and we’ve blown every one and the other team has completed every one.

For sure. My comment was more of I am curious to see how he does against tougher competition.

It’s fair, given some of the struggles this year.
But if you look at the last two seasons, he’s had two rough mlb months, six very good ones, and demolished AAA in between.
Good k rates the whole time.
A bit more consistency and he’s a pretty special dude.

His ERA 4 games ago was 5.64. I sure hope he’s figured something out because he has been spectacular his last three starts. That great splitter he’s introduced has really helped.

The splitter with his rising fastball .. been deadly. If he gets a third pitch, sky is the limit.
