If I look at the top WAR players this year, I see alot of players we let go (Teoscar - 33 homers this year), players who refused to stay (Semien - 23 homers)(big disappointment he wouldn't stay), players we wouldn't resign (Chapman - 27 homers).

To revitalize Semien, and for him just to leave was tough.

To see the most obvious thing come true: Moreno looks great.

Management needs a full reboot.

ESPN WAR, that’s a new low.

We're still on this argument? Let it go already

For the people in the back (though most of them can't read):

I even circled it to make it easier for those who still believe this argument, but i'll spell it out too.

Higher WAR = good

98 OPS+ = essentially right at league average

105 OPS+ slightly above league average

Varsho WAR higher than Moreno WAR = Varsho more valuable.

Even with the combo of Gurriel, who was also part of the deal their total bWAR is only 4.7, still below Varsho.

So I turned on the game and NY was blowing them away so I turned it off to watch something else, thinking it's going another game.

So looking for the schedule and ... LA came back and won?

And on such simple fly ball out error.

Not a Yankees fan, so I'm good with result.

So I just read Cole is opting out, but apparently the Yankees can nullify that by adding one year to the deal at 36 million, which I would be surprised if they didn't do that. Just not sure if that means he only has one year left or he now has 5 years left in his contract.
