I don't know why we can't just go with what has worked for Tarasenko for the past ten years, It's not like the lines don't make sense with him 3rw. A pretty alright top9 can still be put together with people playing spots that make sense.
Imagine having 4 lines you can just simply roll with...use the damn depth appropriately, make it hard for other teams when they know all you lines can score and they have to choose their mismatches carefully.

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today assigned forwards Nate Danielson, Cross Hanas, Marco Kasper, Carter Mazur and Elmer Söderblom, defensemen Tory Dello, Antti Tuomisto, Eemil Viro and William Wallinder, and goaltenders Sebastian Cossa and Carter Gylander to the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins. Additionally, the Red Wings have loaned forward Michael Brandsegg-Nygård to Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League.

The Red Wings currently have 28 players on their training camp roster: 15 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders. The Red Wings will begin their 99th season in franchise history on Thursday, Oct. 10 with a home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:00 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena.

Remember this before people freak about Kasper for example.

Worth noting that the Wings don’t play until Thursday and there’s a chance we’ll see Marco Kasper papered to GR tomorrow for the roster deadline so that the Wings can move someone else to GR via the waiver system after everyone else has set their rosters.

Does this mean the forward PTO’s are still skating with the wings?

Watson, Ratcliffe and Chiasson.

Now that we've seen the Seider contract, I'm guessing we're going to see a ton of "paper" transactions this year or maybe even Detroit carrying only 22 players on the roster for stretches in order to bank as much cap space as possible. I imagine they'll want to reduce the overage from Kane's bonuses that carries over to the 25/26 season as much as possible.
Bumping this in light of the Kasper news. It's certainly still possible that he's in Detroit on opening night.

Disappointed that no kids make it. Ed was expected, but I really hoped 2 others would make it.

Watson is the only one still on the roster.

LOL, yeah, because Stevie is so worried about losing Dries, Snively, Rafferty and Lagesson through waivers.

More than likely that the prospects got waived before them so that they can get ready for the AHL season.
