  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Is Wennburg better than Fil? I would say no. So to be better than opening night, we need a significant upgrade on RW to overcome the difference between Fil and AW.
 
We know they aren’t done or they wouldn’t have needed Seattle to take 50%, these guys trying to just get impressions on twitter are painful.

The thing I like most about Wennberg is he's got a bit of versatility to him. He doesn't just have to stay in that 3rd line C role. He's got enough skill and skating that he could move around the lineup a bit if needed.

Still think there's another move coming. maybe 2. but def one.

That and hes suited so well for that 3C matchup role.

We saw Mika struggle so much there last playoffs. I dont think theyll be relying solely on Wennberg matching up every shift, but youll feel a lot better about letting Mika go against some lower lines and trying to manufacture those matchups, especially at home. That could help. Probably not lol

Truly, if Nic Dowd were also available and could be had for not much, he would really lengthen the lineup by adding another playoff center to the bottom 6. Most def not in the cards. but that would be something.

Once that winger is brought in, whoever it is - you are deep enough to try some things with the lines as I mentioned earlier.

I feel that swapping Mika and Trocheck is equivalent to an AED shock to try and wake his ass from the dead.
 
sorry to be a gloomy gus but none of this matters if Lindgren doesn't move, get his minutes reduced, or dramatically improve. he's our single biggest problem right now. Trouba is right behind him.

We are definitely getting a bottom pair dman before it’s all said and done. Drury always gets one.
 
My least favorite part about Wenneberg is that he seems a bit slight. I'm sure he's got enough skating, balance and shiftiness to be very effective, but I still think we're not heavy enough to deal with 6-7 games against the panthers.
