That's an awful trade on the Rangers end. Schneider has more value than Byram, who hasnt been good and has concussion issues.

Bingo. Byram has been Lindgren-esque except he is still riding his draft stock coattails.

that would probably be a fair offer but not something we should do right now. imo byram has way less value than schneider, buffalo got ripped off.

That would be a bad trade

Our fanbase: OTHER TEAMS ARE KILLING THE TDL! WHY CAN'T WE BE BOLD!

Also our fanbase: NO, NOT LIKE THAT! WE WANT TO BE BOLD AS IN GETTING ALL THE STAR PLAYERS IN EXCHANGE FOR GOODROW AND A 3RD.

I can't even sometimes. You can't be jealous of other teams' bold moves and also refuse to move anything of value in a trade. Bottom line is that Schneider and Byram are similar value. Byram has the much higher offensive upside and the draft pedigree. Schneider is more durable and plays the right side. Neither player has shown much to this point in their careers, which means the primary value for both is their potential. We can dream about moving Trouba next year to move Schneider up to the 2nd pair, but it's pretty clear that Drury and the team see Trouba as part of the solution rather than part of the problem. 10 to 1 says that Trouba is more likely to be extended than he is to be traded. So we'd effectively be moving our 3rd pair D who plays less than 15 minutes a night for a top six center who is great at defense.

I like Schneider, but if you can bring back a 60 point center under the age of 25? You move a Schneider in a heartbeat.

Lindholm is old news, unless you're getting him at a steep discount id pass. Rangers would probably be looking at him to play RW though I would expect. I still think the Wennberg deal is going through at some point.

Byram sucks. Schneider is good.

What are the Rangers trading for Guentzel? Anyone besides Vince has the Rangers linked to Guentzel? Vince would have traded Kakko and 1st to Anaheim for Vatrano and Henrique. He thinks Vatrani is the "ideal fit" for the Rangers and the Rangers D doesn’t need an upgrade.

Friedman and Pagnotta both linked the Rangers to Guentzel

In my defence, it was a terrible giveaway...
