Predictable, it doesn't seem like a big scandal to me, it's always been like this. And it's not even surprising the medals they got. They are having an incredible Olympics and that was to be expected. Those who host the Olympics always overperform, and they already started at a high level anyway.
Look at Spain in Barcelona 92 and in subsequent editions.
I heard athletes village has no AC, caps on food. There's clearly a trend enforced at these games.

They said the rooms have been made "cool" by design and no AC saves on electricity. I did read some athletes had bought their own systems (I assume movable AC units which you can buy for under 200 euros).
Sweden have 4 medal Finland 0. Not good.

US just won team gold in women's team foil, first time in 100 years
Also gold in men's 4 rowing for the first time in 64 years. Although historically we've had a lot more success in rowing than in fencing.

We actually have more medals from summer games than winter but... we suck.I bet you don't say that about the Winter Olympics.
Has anyone been watching handball? Pretty fast-paced. The players take quite a bit of abuse like rugby and no diving
