Any chance that the gender issue could be taken to its own thread? There is a lot of other stuff going on at the Olympics and there seems to be enough interest in that discussion to warrant a dedicated thread.

A French woman fired a perfect 10 on her last shot for the bronze, the first medal ever for France in archery. Pretty cool stuff, France is really performing well this year,
great home field advantage.

Make a boxing thread and any future post about the boxers should be made there

Damn Judo team finals was insane! Feel sad for Saito and team Japan. French got so lucky that they got Rinner for the final matchup and Saito tried his best but Rinner's length totally dominated him. :( :confused: :(

Almost anyone else would've given Japan a good chance to win the golden score match and they got the worst matchup possible.

Halfway through the Olympics I am favorably impressed by the results of Great Britain and Australia. HM for the Netherlands who are having a great Olympics.

Still looking for a better one. Remco gave them plenty of time to take an amazing shot with the incredible background. Cycling double, never done before. Remco became one of the athletes of the Olympics.
Shame Pogi snubbed the games because of what happened with her gf. Would have been a different race with the best cyclist competing

What a match!!! In the 5th set tiebreaker, South Korea and US went 10-10-10-10-10-10 Literally a perfect set with a gold medal on the line, the greatest set possible. Then in the 1 arrow shootout, Kim fired a 10 on his arrow, and Ellison was on the 9/10 line, 5MM further away.

5MM for the gold.
