The Ducks announced today that the club will participate in the seven-team Rookie Faceoff tournament hosted by the Los Angeles Kings from Sept. 13-16. The tournament will coincide with Anaheim Ducks Rookie Camp, beginning Thursday, Sept. 12 at Great Park Ice (camp schedule and roster to be announced at a later date).



Friday, Sept. 13
Game 1 - San Jose vs. UHC, 1:00 p.m. PT (NHL Rink 1)
Game 2 - Colorado vs. Anaheim, 3:30 p.m. PT (NHL Rink 2)
Game 3 - Vegas vs. Los Angeles, 7:00 p.m. PT (NHL Rink 1)

Saturday, Sept. 14

Nice play to block that shot. Good period, they are skating hard and hitting. We've got some big bodies out there.

I liked Luneau. Pastujov looked solid but couldn't tell you how much closer he is to the bigs. Cutter was kinda sleepy out there imo. Dionicio still looks raw but there's some talent there. Tarin Smith had a nice individual play earlier in the period that I liked.

Yup. Luneau tried dancing with the puck at the offensive blue line, but the forward closed on him fast to where Luneau coughed up the puck. Oddly, there was a King forward unaccounted for by the Ducks (dunno who's assignment that was) who saw Luneau got engaged and turned the puck over to race other way, waiting for a breakaway pass. Fortunately, Clang prevented any scoring chance on that breakaway.
