Hopefully he just lost a ball and that´s all, Im maybe blunt, but I lost a kidney and after I recovered from the surgery I was back in action, so hopefully Dakota has the same luck as me =)

I wish him well!

Going so public is a credit to him. It’s something that is so stigmatised. In my mid-teens I found a lump and never told anyone. It took me a long time (a few years) to see a doctor and it was just a cyst. So it’s not always the worst news if you find something and it’ll save a lot of angst.

All things considered it's one of the "best" cancer to have if you're going to have cancer. Last guy missed 11 games and went on to be the leagues Ironman and top Weiner eater. Godspeed Dakota!

Edit: Not last, Theodore was diagnosed in 2019 but that doesn't take anything away from the myth, legend and OG uniballer.

Not to take anything away from Phil, but technically I think the last guy was Shea Theodore.

But if Dakota can come back the way those two have.

Phil Kessel went through this as a rookie. Turned out he only needed one nut to flex on the rest of the NHL.

One member of the Bruins media floated the rumor out on social media that Kessel missed time because of a drug/alcohol problem when in fact he was undergoing treatment. He still hasn't apologized about it to this day and one of the reasons why we look at Jimmy Murphy with disdain.

Best of luck to Dakota - glad they caught it early and he's on the road to recovery!

That’s wild and sadly not unexpected from Boston sports media.
